There are so many forums out there, but to me, the biggest would be defined as the one with the most active members and the most threads.
I've seen some that have threads drop off the first page in just a few minutes. Mind boggling.

Look for some Linux boards or places like that who encourage sharing of ones work to make it better.

hmm there are many forums out there.
one i will suggest is vbforums.com
and also type in google chat + forums and you will come up with so many of them.

Usenet is the biggest if you count newsgroups as message boards. It accesable using a client program via your ISP's news server or via google groups (http://groups.google.com)

As a word of advice, as I see people with dual aliases, for no special reason, I am going to start banning them.
If you were once banned, and return to this site for ANY reason, I re-ban you without question. If you sign up for multiple aliases to pick fights, or be a fanboy, I will ban both names.
and ANOTHER THING.
If you sign up with a name that is inappropriate, or "Ri44SuX0rZ" and your agenda is to only hit RIAA threads, your days are numbered.
