Ok i have found this extremely ironic. Companies like apple, and sony {which owns almost all of the music companies} have been trying to make lawsuits against users who are making copyright infringements against the artist. Yet a company like apple who has released the "Ipod" which i currently own, is being used to permanently save music from programs like Kazaa. If you look at it this way they are making more money off mp3s. And this is illegal. If i was sued, I would defend myself by saying how much do you loose by people sharing copyrighted music, and how much do you gain for cashing in on MP3 software, accesories, players, etc. 10 cents a song, and 600 dollars for maybe one good mp3 player. Really if the record industry was making more than their loosing, then by sueing people its illegal.
Also eventually a file sharer is going to challenge the lawsuit and take the case all the way to the supreme court. This will cost the RIAA millions, and will get stuck in court for maybe years. If anything i look at this as a setback for the RIAA. When you drop a cookie it crumbles, when you fuck with 6 million file sharers you die.
KEEP SHARING,

Irony yes, but "irony" doesnt hold legel precedent.
A Sony Clie or an Ipod doesnt have anything to do with Sony Entertainment. That's why companies have sub devisions and buy and sell these off.
What I would like to see is a class action lawsuit against the RIAA and the music industry, etc, to counter sue for all the suits they file. I'm not sure if thats possible, but it would help get in to a higher court.

Hahaha. I love it.
"Your honor I object! Defense counsel is being ironic!"

You know what would be great. If someone committed suicide after being sued by the RIAA for $150,000 (because he/she couldn't afford), and his family sued for damages.
(The suicide part isn't what I say is great, but the counter sue.)

actually this is a good thread... i mean it kind of makes since and it is a new point besides f*** the riaa. good post sue me, but even the sony mp3 players are different from sony labels. That's like saying my mp3 player and ps are linked when their not.
off topic but playstation is making a playstation 2.5 the PSX
120 gig hard drive
TIVO
Ethernet-Internet
A lot of other stuff i don't remember
I heard most developers won't put games on it though
I'd just wait for PS 3 but what i like is that hard drive with TIVO.
