Kazaa Lite 2.4.1 runs very slow on my XP machine

I upgrade from 2.4.0 to 2.4.1 and program performance bites. Not download speed, but selecting songs for download, altering user optons etc... Seems like it took a vicadin. Any suggestions? Thanks

kazaa lite 2.4.1 the new one has new security protectionf eatures, i still would be cautious on their program

I've seen this a lot lately, I might have to mention it to the devs. I've only got a few suggestions for you...can't garuntee they'll work

First off, try doing a "clean install" of kazaa lite K++ as shown in this guide. (http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9818)

Then, let kazaa sit for a while after you've selected your shared files, it takes time for it to sort out the lists, and generate the .db files.

Turn off the IP blocking feature. It sounds nice, but I've just heard more problems with people using it...

Try disabling the new XP look.

Disable skins. That really helped me a lot on my old computer, especially if you tried to give it an xp look with skins on.

i am having the same problem; i have actually been having this problem for every release of kazaa since 2.02. i start it up and my CPU utilization goes to 99%. my only recourse so far has been to reinstall version 2.00.
