HI A LINUX DISTRO THAT WORKS WITH
THE FOLLOWING P2P CLIENTS...

GTK-GNUTELLA
NAPSHARE....

THE LATEST VERSIONS WORK JUST FINE...

GET THE I386 VERSIONS....

THIS IS THE LATEST VERSION OF THIS AND HAS FIXED PROBLEMS WITH K3B CD RECORDING SOFTWEAR AND ALLOWS YOU TO BURN ISO UNDER LINUX.

THIS IS A VERY EFFICENT DISTRO AS MY HARD DRIVE RUNS ALMOST COLD...AS I HAVE 576 MEGS OF RAM SO EVERYTHING RUNS IN MEMORY A VERY GOOD THING FOR YOUR HARD DRIVE.

IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ON JAMD...

TYPE JAMD LINUX INTO www2.google.com
AND YOU WILL FIND OUT ABOUT JAMD LINUX....

GOOD LUCK

PS ONLY WORKS ON TRUE 686 OR ABOVE
DURON, ATHALON, AND CELERON WORK FINE K6 DOES NOT

whats the big deal? so you have a linux distro that can use a couple open source p2p apps that were designed to run on linux. explain to me why i should wipe my linux partition and install your distro? i have to say red hat 9 has served me well.

KEY BOARD LOCKED....bought new keyboard.

Shame so many folks only want to critize..but typical of linux forums...

Glad you like RH9 I could never get it to work right till I started the using the SGI preload for it...was never stable...always locked up, never could find an answer for that....

The distro I suggested is a variant of RH9 so I dont want you to change anything...but I would have loved to have some tell me would and wouldnt work when I started Linux....no one would....so I thought I would save some folks the greif of burning bunches of cd and trying bunches of distros till they finally figured it out....

I am glad you have...but it is a shame you dont want anyone elese to...but again very typical of the lack of suppourt for new linux folks...very typical...

Its almost like if you dont suffer you cant do linux....well enough of that....there is no logical reason for that but it will slow the adoption....so I guess both of you must be SCO employes since you have no constructrive but merly destructive comments.

ok.... not EVERYONE will have the same problem you did. i for one, had no problem whatsoever. i DO NOT nor ever did profess to be a linux expert as you make me out to be. hell... i have trouble with rpms. and neither of our comments were 'destructive' as you put.... one had absolutely nothing to do with your distro in the first place. and the other (mine) was asking why you thought that a linux distro that could run a couple linux apps was so special. btw, you have yet to answer that. there are hundreds of distros, most of which are more popular than yours. not to mention, they have better support and problably compatability.

i dont think destructive critisism is your problem. you get upset merely because somone sees no point in using somthing you found useful.
