Stupid Newbie Question

Ok call me stupid, call me what you want. I have done searches and can't find the answer to my question.

What I am wondering is;

All I hear about is file "sharing" laws and supeonas. So does that mean its still OK to download as long as you dont share?

I very rarely download songs, but I just want to make sure when I do, I am protected.

Don't worry guy, it's really not a stupid question. As far as I know the RIAA is only going after users sharing large amounts of music.. For now I believe it is safe if a person were to just d/l and not share.. A.K.A. "leech". Welcome to the forum.

Hey Dont bash Noobies! Its retard kids who dont watch the news or pay attention to current events that we get to leech off of. You know who im talking about. Kids in high school and college who use their parents bandwidth and download 10,000 songs and have no clue that what they are doing could get them in prison. <rant>oh thats right... you're from california ... that state that should be it's own country...i try to be positive as umch as i can... mostly to stay on the mods good side but that was possibly the stupidest comment i've ever heard.
