eDonkey2000 0.49.6 Released

eDonkey2000 combines the strengths of Gnutella and Napster while avoiding their problems. It doesn't rely on a central server yet searches are quick and your client doesn't get bogged down with endless search requests. You have the ability to search all the files being shared anywhere on the network. It automatically resumes interrupted transfers from alternate sources.

GUI looks a little different then i remember it.....but why even use EDK2k when Emule is leaps and bounds ahead of it in terms of usability

I just downloaded the new overnet and i can honestly say it is working for me.

Downloading between 35-50K which isn't too bad.
At last i know the quality of the files is very high, and im not getting fakes.

I might give it another try. Probably not though because the speeds suck so bad for me. I cannot get over 8kb/sec.

You need to leave it run for a while. also, in the settings, make sure you cap your upload speed under what your max upload is.

The E Donkey overnet network has a nasty habit of super saturating your upload speed which makes downloading at a reasonable speed impossible. If your max upload speed is 128 kilobits( 16 kilobytes) set it to 10 or 11.

If it is 256 kilobits (32 kilobytes) set it around 25-26.
