Finally my site www.piranetus.com is back up. I also completely redesigned it to HTML from flash. Suggestions, criticisms, comments, anybody?

I have a suggestion.

Make the words in the menu bar clickable, not just the circle buttons.

The new site looks great, although the buttons are....I don't know, I think your last site looked more professional or something, this is just really plain. But it is very fast.

I dunno, I kinda like the buttons.

For some reason, I like plain a lot better than fancy pants design.

In reality, it's the content that matters.

Yes, the content and browsing speed. ;-)

....hence simplicity can sometimes be your friend......especially for 56kers.

Ignore my comment, I'm not sure what I was thinking...I think I was thinking of a different site.

And looking at it again, it does have a very nice clean look to it.

Nice site. Maybe you could tint the backround color though?

Very good PiRaNeTuS !
I'm glad to see your site and will refer people to it when they ask about Mod's etc.

You could put the banner, the menu, and the rest of the page in DIVs, and then position them using CSS.

You could also put X number of the mods in 3 seperate DIVs to achieve a table-like effect on the downloads, links, and info pages.

Another idea is to simply use text links instead of the pair of images you use for each link on the menu. You could then apply CSS to create a sort of "pop up" effect that uses a short block of text to describe the link, positioned below the lowest link. A good example of this is at: http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edge/popups/demo.html

Generally speaking, CSS will cut your bandwidth usage even further. Additionally, pages will load faster, handy for those 56kers.
