i've installed ad-aware 5.8, and it sees radlight as trash, not any additional components but the main program itself, what's the deal ? does someone know why this happens ?
Basicly anything that has to do with radlight, it considers as spyware. isnt it usually some modules or dll that is the spy, then again, radlight as no ad support, mistake ? ???

There is a article on this in news section zeropaid. its explains the relationship between adaware and radlink pretty good by the guy who made adaware.

Its not spyware just a threat to adaware because it deletes it.
Which i dont think this will be the end. Programs like Radlight whill just bypass adawares detection and delete and then adware will release a patch and it will continue like that probably forever. Or until one goes bust.
Which AIM is probably one of the worst spyware ever although most people dont know it. If you have AIM installed then go to IE,s security zones and look in the sites in the trusted zone setting.. You should see home.aol.com.. Trusted zone is the lowest setting of security and allows programs to set cookies and etc without regard to the security settings.

Don't know about that... There's plenty of divx players out there, but only one Adaware. If I had to choose between Radlight and Adaware on my system I know which one I'd rather keep.

Its just as bad as spyware though, it intrudes and changes our personal space on our computer. Radlight isn't spyware, it's a virus. How can something so mainstream be a virus?

MusicMan, it's not a virus. A Virus is by definition a self-replicating piece of code. Radlight doesn't self-replicate.
Nor is it a trojan, seeing as it doesn't grant unauthorised access to your system.
It's simply malware, or shady software. Let's not go overboard here, ok? Noobs are already confused enough as it is.
