I was wondering if the preview option, which pops up on partially downloaded .avi's worked for any of you, or if it was not functioning for anyone yet.

It dont work for me.

It never works for me. I have tried, but nope. I also download .avi files and pray their the right ones as I cannot preview. It sucks. And also emule is so slow, I get about 2kb/sec. when I should be getting like 35kb/sec+ on other programs.

Im guessing it was added in the menu but the code to make it function wasnt put in place. Im guessing its a issue with codecs compatability & liscencing.... If someone here makes mods, that would be a good one.

With about 50 files waiting to be downloaded, i get times of no downloading, but when it starts it averages 30 or 40. Peaked out at 120's max. , but on kazaa around 300 is my max. Im into emule even if i got to wait online for a few days to get myfiles.. Kazaa is used when i want music for sure.

preview works just fine for me. You need the first and last chunks to preview a file. If you right click a file you can choose "get first/last chunks for preview"

Then go to preferences -> directories, and make sure you have the path to your media player in the video player tab, and put a check in the box "create back-up for preview"

The built in preview in emule plus works just fine for me. The option does stay greyed out until there is enough of the file to preview, but after that, it works just fine.

Ok, using emule plus i can now preview files. But i cannot successfully scan the file for watchable parts.

For example, i have 1 movie where a majority of what i have is in the middle of the file. How can i watch the middle without freezing up my windows player.

Should i use another video player?

It's the same with any player I tried, it starts at the beginning. I have DivX player2.1, VLC 6, RealPlayer, Radshite...er I mean Radlight, and WMP9.
Anyway I have never d/l a film that's good quality at the start but bad quality later on....if it's a good rip it's good, what more do you need to know?
