I will be arbitrarily deleting ANY new RIAA or MPAA threads.

I'm tired of the alarmist bullshit, and seeing them mentioned like some hall of fame.

Unless you have a RELAVENT news release with NEW information, it will probably be history.

There are a few of you in particular I am addressing, If you dont want your threads deleted, dont make them.

maybe we should create a FAQ and try to answer the bulk of repeated questions in that?

That depends......are you volunteering?

If you do need any help with it, I'll do what I can. I don't have time to actually make a full guide, but I could compile one or give input for somebody else.

No i have the new poster guide i still have to get started on yet..

RIAA/MPAA threads should be in that forum. Anything that is about it either of them and isnt in the RIAA/MPAA forum is fair game.

I think that was suggested when the mass immigration the self -appointed p2p saviors started last month. The problem is that some ppl (it is same group of ppl responsible for the majority of the threads) enjoy making new threads on same stuff with a diff spin over and over again.

I deleted one so far today, I warned you, if you dont have NEW . . . . FACTUAL . . . . UN HEARD OF . . VERIFIABLE info . . .

@Krell & The Hunter.

THANK YOU!.

I am so sick of seeing those types of threads cluttering of the new posts on the front page.

phalkon30
July 24th, 2003, 04:53 PM
All krell is doing is removing stuff thats ALLREADY BEEN SAID. I agree with his decision, there is no need to see the same stuff over and over, it just creates paranoia.

If there is something new, it stays.....doesn't sound like you've lost much freedom of expression

Still........

"Vinash Kallein Vipreet Buddhi"

This is a sanskrit 'shlok'........

It means when bad times come, ur mind gives up first.

They are already making an impact........but fuck hell, i am still sharing. And i know i am still alive.......(Now Playing)

Also I have a feeling that a lot of the posts are nothing but fearmongering, and as such will not be tollerated. Too much of what is being posted, is not new, but just rehashed what ifs. Now lets just move on. Nobody is stopping anyones freedom of expression.

Krell and Hunter. I agree strongly with your comments that many of the RIAA postings are nothing but fearmongering that seem to be generated in most cases by newcomers to Zeropaid (Riaa plants most likely - ban them ) and it is very upsetting to see the paranoia and hysteria that many of these postings generate especially among those who are new to file sharing.

Its good to have the latest news available and to have intelligent discussion about the ongoing problems and threats generated by the RIAA jerkoffs but we should be able to do that without new posts literally bursting out everywhere .Clearly many postings duplicate numerous other existing postings (don't these people read the various posts at all ?) and many are the furthest you can possibly get from any form of intelligent debate.
I don't feel that my freedom to speak out is restricted at all and clearly the decision by the moderators is reasonable and fair.

you can possibly get from any form of intelligent debateEven intelligent debate gets tiresome when it's the same thing over, and over. So, it's all been said. Now let's get back to the real reason why we are here!! File-sharing!!!!!!!!!!:fire

ferrarimodena360 . .blah blah blah . .ankle biter . . .blah blah blah . . . . cheap shots . . . .yada yada yada . . which is of 0 importance to me.

I wasnt asking permission or for anyones approval, and anyone that uses this forum as an opportunist and soap box to promote RIAA propaganda or perpetuate fear will have their posts deleted.

I agree that we should shut down threads that have already been said. And I dont Like people being alarmist about the RIAA.
I just hope that you will not shut threads that have some worth.

I posted something that was very helpful, but was shot down. It only would assist people in litigation by the RIAA.

Maybe I am an entertainment lawyer who does this type of work and am just trying to calm people's fears. That was what my post was all about. But I guess you and nobody else felt it necessary to learn a little bit about Copyright Law.

Guess this is not an educational forum.

Oh well, back to downloading!!

Krell

Signing up with a new name to post a lot of numbers with your speculation doesnt constitute news.

Conjecture and opinion on what may or may not happen is also not news.

When there are rulings on cases, and court decisions, the give it a try, untill then, it's a lot of gossip.

Viable news from reliable sources posted by senior members may have merit, and those are the RIAA related thread that I have not closed or deleted.

Legalaid5

I read your post, and I was also the one that removed it. I dont know you, and this is not a legal site, so making statements one way or another on what people should worry about or not, is not the focus of Zero Paid. I appreciate the work you put in to your post, much more than some, but we have not had luck with people dishing legal advice here before.

Sephiroth
July 25th, 2003, 12:25 AM
Maybe doesnt neccessaryly mean you are...

Again if its posted in the correct forum being the RIAA & MPAA forum then it should stay. Anything outside of it is fair game. Oviously with the RIAA legal war against the consumer there is going to be alot of threads.

What should be avoided is threads that fear monger and makes matters worse without any justification or threads that have been repeated numerous times in the past and the person could have posted in the thread about the same topic than creating a new one.

Speculative posts are just fodder to incite paranoia and nothing more. The same with the geniuses that post saying they are going to save the day with some solution that we were too stupid to think about ourselves. I, for one, don't need a million threads with the same question over and over nor do I need a million save the day hero threads. Either utilize the ones that are open or save it. If that is asking too much then maybe this forum isn't for you. So like Krell, Hunter, Seph, and the other mods, I will also be closing repeat threads that offer nothing but the same stuff.

are you deleting thread s without reading them?

Krell
July 29th, 2003, 06:05 PM
LOL was that supposed to be funny or something? We have a comedian amongst us?

No . . . sadly, I have to read ALL the fucking threads here, so I read the same regurgitation over and over and over . . . then I throw up, THEN I delete the thread.

Does THAT answer you question?

I'm seeing enough bullshit here for for entire groups to commit ritualistic mass suicide over.

We're sick of the hype and propaganda, so post again, I will delete that too.

Krell i understand that someone (moderator) has to be the enforcer, and that every moderator can't be nice and helpful and i understand and respect that you need to be mean in telling it like it is. But if you keep shooting down n00b's zero paid won't grow... I mean I can understand your struggle in fighting RIAA threads they are annoying, but half the time (4 post) people just need direction and getting acquainted to the site and what you guys believe in. Don't look at me by my number of post, but the date i registered this month so i guess i classify a newbie..... if we just yell at them it doesn't do anything for anybody. I'm not asking you to change your role but to realize that not everyone is here for a bad cause. I enjoy this site as a place where i can just express my p2p thoughts, have my friends aren't into p2p politics they just want their music, but the more users who feel shot down...

Let me be frank, and you can be shirley.

If you are an example of the quality of posts by newbies, then I am not interested in growth. You have nothing to say, all your posts are dribble.

Now the RIAA threads have been out of control, and all the sensationalism is rubbish. If you come here and cant read, or remember for more than 5 minutes that I am sick of RIAA threads, or have the audacity to ask me if I read them, I am going to tell you like it is.

What part of "Search" and "Read the forums first" do you not understand?
that is good, i think as long as new peepz read it before posting it will help out a lot.

You probably cant be bothered with all that, since your posts are mostly on the order of "I love pudding" thread after thread.
