I suppose you could manually edit the registry to change options, but I think every "tweak" is in an options menu in k-lite, so I don't see a point.
There are a few windows settings for broadband that some people think will dramaticly increase your speed, but I've tried them, and seen absolutely no difference. If you're intrest in looking into this more, I suggest you look at some of the following websites

Phalkon is right. Before Kazaa Lite became what it is today with K++ and KLExtensions etc. there were some reg tweaks that you could use to give Kazaa a boost. But now all of those options and more are controlled within Kazaa Lite K++. Just make sure you're using the newest version to get the full advantage. KazaaLiteKpp (http://www.kazaalitekpp.com) The newest final version is 2.4.0.
To use the newest test build, currently at 2.4.1 RC2 you can goto the Development forum and then Dev's Corner. (Must be registered to access that part of the forum.)

RC6 is out today, and right now development is moving so fast that not all parts of the forum are updated.
http://www.klboard.ath.cx/bb/index.php?showtopic=43801 has a link to the test builds site
Paul thinks RC6 is going to be the final version, it will include minor bug fixes that should have been in 2.4.0, its named 2.4.1 (but then again, you know how long it took the devs for the last one, lol)

The tweaks you probably should try are ones to your internet connection such as the TTL, and others.
More information on tweaking your connection is at http://speedguide.net

Thanks for the update. The k-lite forum was down for me so I just assumed that they hadn't released another RC since yesterday. I should have known better, they release another build every 10 seconds it seems.. But hey, at least random nut and Paul are working together again! I really wasn't digging the whole two separate versions BS.

Hrmm.... Whaaa? I assume you mean that using registry tweaks has never really worked well for you. Screwing around in the registry definitely isn't for most people. The more knowledge you have the better you can adjust the proper values for the settings you wish to change. With most registry tweaks there isn't a blanket, or common, setting(s) that will work the same for all computers. You pretty much have to be a geek to get the full benefits of registry tweaking! :tilted

Talk about quick, 2.4.1 final was released sometime today. There is no official announcement on the homepage, but it was removed from test builds and is now on the mirror site

I just wouldn't touch a thing. You get what your speed is, and don't bother trying to increase it.
