I havent been on this site in awhile, and I thought I would just check it out today since I've been hearing so much of the RIAA and Peer to Peer networks in the news lately. With news stations like CNN, MSNBC, and the FOX News Channel they all been yaping about is how the RIAA has put together some new plan to catch music file swappers. This plan is by placing bugged mp3s onto the peer 2 peer portals, so unsuspecting P2P users can download the copyrighted mp3s to their computers with the mp3's hidden attached bug that records the user's IP address, and reports it back to the RIAA. That's very sneeky, interesting at least, but sly by the RIAA. On MSNBC they interviewed one of the CEOs of Imesh via Satelite, and the CEO was saying that the RIAA will never be able to put an end to peer to peer networking, and he said that the RIAA's new move will only temp him into placing upgrades to Imesh so that it will detech and blockout the RIAA's bugged mp3s.
Today I check out some peer to peers networks, and I was suprised to see that Kazaa now incorporates ip blocking from the RIAA bugged hoax music, and its all versions. Kazaa Lite, Kazaa K++, and the official Kazaa all have new versions available for download, boasting improved protection. Its seems as though the RIAA is just adding fuel to fire by pulling a stunt like this, which enablely backfired! Long Live Peer to Peer network.

wouldn't a simple filewall or anti-virus program detect "mallacious activity" and set off the warning bells.
