In your personal opinion which P2P software is on the verge of dying off.
My Pick:
Winmx: The queues are just too long for anybody to download anything. The updates to the software seem to have stopped.

i don't which one is dying but Kazaa should die for tons of reasons but i'm too lazy to post them.
btw
the creators of winmx said that the new version will take care of that problem. When will it be out you ask? Nobody knows.

yes, i agree, kazaa isn't bringing anything good or worthwhile to the p2p table. it was a great client back in the day, but many advanced features (like swarming) aren't thought out real well... winmx does the best with swarming.
and if you bitch about queues, you dont know how to get around them. i made a thread about it a looong looong time ago, so, search for it. "avoid winmx queues"... try that.
and when will winmx release their next version? considering the excruciatingly long wait for v3, i give winmx, until, oh, say christmas.

I would bet that Bit Torrent will go before Kazaa. Only because of the relative ease they seem to be whacking torrent sites. If we can't find the torrents and nobody is hosting, then it's over. Nobody is paying any of the hosts for the torrents so as soon as the going gets any rougher away they will go. Kazaa on the other hand has a 4 million user base and the pay from spyware/adware and they already have been to court. BT might survive if the hosts sites can remain outside the US/UK where they can remain unharmed. It will be an interesting next few weeks to see what clever things the P2P community will come up with now that the stakes are getting high.

KazaA. I don't want to sound anti-p2p, or be anti-p2p. But I want KazaA and the whole fasttrack network to crash, be sued, and loose. I hate it with every single fake file i download. I want the fasttrack to collapse.

Bittorrent seems to be dying and/or dead.
Winmx has seen a serge of people recently and is performing better than it ever has. I want to keep the current Mx and hope they never update! EVER

I gotta agree and go with BT. The fact that the sites have to host the torrent and not merely index them makes them liable. That the IPs are wide out in the open only make it worse and easier to dismantle.

Damn people, why would you wish a network to die merely because you do not like it.
This is ignorant, there are still many good uses for kazaa, i still use it to get divx rips and music.
Every network has it's uses, just depends upon what you are after.
Having kazaa die would alienate people who cannot use other networks (like myself) do to router, isp, and other issues.
And imagine the bogging of other networks if they were to try and cope with with the flood of kazaa users migrating to other networks. Would take quite a while for everything to stabilize.

Kazaa, Kazaa Light, Kazaa +++, Kazaa Gold, All of this shit should die and burn to hell. Just think if The riaa could have sued Kazaa or sharman, we wouldnt be getting sued now, so FUck kazaa.

Whats all the MX bitching about . . . . not enough false hopes and broken promises about it in the forums?
I dont want to hear ANYTHING about it, untill I can just download the damned thing, and IT WORKS.
No hype, No spam, No MX fanboys . . . .

There is no reason for you all to bash Kazaa (like, K++, Diet, etc). It is still the fastest, and in my opinion, best P2P software out there. And yes, I use others (eMule, Shareaza, BitTorrent, Piolet, and WinMX) so I have no reason to be bias, I just know that when I want a movie real fast or a single MP3 or small application, I can usually get it much faster off the FastTrack network than anywhere else. You tards want to blame Kazaa for you getting sued? If you weren't on it, you won't get sued to don't complain about it. Kazaa was genius in the fact that they made their software really novice-user friendly, and much like the Napster interface that many people were already used too, only better. Most of us in here are not your average PC users. I can ask any random person what Kazaa is and they will be able to tell you immediately, but try asking them what Bit Torrent is, or Freenet, or most others and they will have no clue. Also, these people download and share as much as anyone else, even if they do it unknowingly...so there is a reason that Kazaa is the most downloaded application of all time. So quit your complaining and bashing of FastTrack, if it closed down, it would not make yours or anyone other P2P companies life any better, other than the RIAA's. I am thankful for FastTrack, that way more attention gets focused on it for right now, allowing other networks to continue to run smoothly and without much hassle from RIAA or MPAA and others. Thanks to the 4-5 million user base Kazaa attains, they have the money and are able to afford to fight the RIAA. Any other P2P company would not have near the chance to stand up to some of the financial actions and fees that have and will be sustained by Sharman. If it gets shut down, I hope you guys will be happy, because taking out these other smaller networks will be a cinch compared to Kazaa's.
BE THANKFUL KAZAA IS HERE.....IT IS ONLY BUYING EVERY OTHER NETWORK TIME.

And just were would those 4 million users go? On to the next big thing and then the whole process of shit and lawsuits starts all over again on maybe your favorite network. I say let the Fasttrack live, it still has a purpose. If for nothing else, it can be cannon fodder for the RIAA. I used to use the heck out of K-lite for TV eps so I don''t mind telling you I would hate to see it go.

the goddamn reason why the p2p l33t boys hate kazaa it's because is a "p2p for dummies" program... anyone who know how to install a program can use kazaa, and there are alot of wankers in this world... and no doubt, take a "search and download" speed test, kazaa would win, hands down. personally i use emule, slow as a turtle but reliable....

It's true. While the focus is all on kazaa I can continue to have 24/7 sex with eMules and Mel_Smiley can continue to download and watch depraved movies of same from WinMX. We are all grateful.

It seems like Bit Torrent is under heavy attack and will likely be the next P2P service to fall. I don't see Kazaa or the fastrack network fal;ling anytime soon. despite the frustrations over fakes, there are too many users, too many files available there plusd an easy to use program that provides fast downloads. No matter what the Kazaa haters think, I don't see them going anywhere. I think that more than anything , what will determine what networks prosper and which fall, will be their ability to adapt to new technology so that they can provide access to multiple files together with an anonymous file sharing for their members.

i'd like to see Edonkey burn in hell with satan.
I can't stand the incredible waits to download files, Edonkey would have been the logical choice for cannon fauder because people have to leave the client on forever and sharing is forced.
U should have to wait hours to download something, not weeks.

BT is not dying. It's thriving for the niche downloaders like anime. If you want movies etc then yeah they are after those sites.
Anyhow all that needs to happens is that BT ends up on IRC or usenet links.
WinMX generally sux so I think it's kinda dead anyhow.
