What is the best program to create a P2P community??? I mean a community for just one subject, so a place to meet people and share files about the same interest???

So without showing al kinds of other stuff that am not looking for.

I mean, just like Yahoo Groups, but based on the P2P principle!!!

Yeah....ok.....yeah.....

Ever heard of newsgroups? Cuz p2p isn't really gonna "start" anything for your "interest." Its probably already (and hopefully) exists and anybody with a good ISP can use their news server to access groups with other interests. You're gonna have to be a regular of a certain newsgroup cuz p2p doesn't really work that way, its more "search and grab all you can and share whatever u got."

Don't ask how, just read up on it.

What the fuck is a "2p2"? Anyway, IRC and newsgroups are your best bet if you meant "P2P"

direct connect is like that, but it is fragmenting into private groups as the riaa tightens its grip

there are still lots of public hubs, but i'd advise against using them in the current climate

at one time dc was just as you described--people of like minds gathering and trading files, but now nobody chats anymore and it's a very greedy atmosphere

Right. I wouldn't advise to use DC. It's gonna die fairly soon anyway, and getting a file is TOUGH.

Seeing as Ron is a noob, I'd suggest he start with Newsgroups, then POSSIBLY move to IRC.
