In light of the subpoenas, i thought i'd start contributing and using FreeNet because of its anonymity. I also am still running Windows ME. Well, I'll be buying some cd-r packs today & backing up my stuff...if my cd burning programs will stay open long enough to let me do that.

You see, no program will stay open very long now. In fact, I am lucky if any icons appear on my desktop at all....and to add more ire to the whole situation, FreeNet is not list in my add/remove programs (Java is listed twice, so i'm hoping Freenet is one of them).

I really don't want to go through installing all my pirated software again because I have to reformat. I think FreeNet should label its self a Windows XP program.

So i'll continue with WinMX, my lovely WinMX...

freenet is sadly difficult to use for the first time..

if you want to uninstall freent it's listed under 'programs' as is its uninstall.

you may want to check out the available freenet tools on the website..

or maybe someone with a little more knowledge than i can help you.

Since your adittedly lazy, you shouldnt mind if I suggest you take the lazy,

"less effective than a clean install but still hella better than what you have" . . .

approach. Drop in an XP cd, and do an upgrade. Your drivers, and program will make the move, and you can run all those warez you hold dear to your heart.

Yeah, even compared to Winmx, Freenet has problems. Even compared to WIndows 95, ME has problems, so you're really in for some fun here.
