:(

Yesterday I downloaded the latest version of Kazaa Lite and installed it over my previous version.

Ever since I have had this version (version 2.4.0.) my PC has been playing up. The whole PC has crashed 5 times today when K lite was downloading files......

The screen just goes and you get the text (like MS DOS) saying beginning dump of physical memory and refers to a recent software installation being dodgy.

Has anyone else had a similar problem

The previous version of K Lite was fine...........

At the momeny I am not using K Lite so that I can make sure it was K Lite causing this.

#1. I think it's a bad idea to ever install one program over a completely diffrent one now there all the files are mushed together.. You should have either uninstalled the previous ver or moved it to another directory. I don't know much about conflicting reg keys, someone else might be better suited to comment on that.

I say delete every trace of them both and reinstall 1 of them. There is a post some where in the forum (i'm to lazy to go look). Bit it has a website and you can go in their and it will del every trace of the kazaa proggy for you.

Hope that helps. Might want to list for everyone else what kinda CPU you have as well as Win ver. and do you have a firewall?

Yep, I'd try a clean install. Its not a good idea to just install over the top, especially in this upgrade, many things were changed.

the same thing happend to me, I tried to close the program to the system tray, while searching for something, and I was forced to restart, my comp locked completely.
This is a clean instal, I uninstaled the earlier vertion I had 2.11rc23.
This has only happend once, but it fell into the same category, and it has slowed down my comp abit, and I have been using kazaalite less and less because of it.
