i was wondering what the best download manger is that doesn't have adware or spyware

I don't use a seperate download manager. When i download a large file through a web browser I use Opera It has the ability to resume transfers.

i wonder if there is a download manager for most p2p file sharing programs out there that speeds it up a lot.

i had never heard of this, but i saw it in a post somewhere, and tried it, and i love it.
it is called Kontiki.
i use it everyday, but i am not sure if it has spyware or adware in it...

I used to use Kontiki (there's no spyware/ads in it)...but now I'm using FireLoad (http://www.imesh.net/ShowCase/FireLoadInst.exe).

I agree with Foreverboard. I have used Get Right for years and it has always worked great .

all the files that are big require a file sharing program... if there big on the web. Alot of times they are demos, shareware, have to register, have to buy.

i use getright but Free Download Manager is pretty good too it looks alot nicer and does the same job and its free!!!(duh)

it's based on wget.
sometimes star downloader, but I didnt have a serial for that. the free version's OK though.
