Parents don't seem to think file sharing is stealing (http://www.msnbc.com/news/938385.asp?0dm=T16ZL).

Amanda’s mother, Stephanie, says she thinks downloading is more like sharing, than stealing. “Well, illegal we all know it is because they say it is but yet it’s free and it’s on the Internet. That’s like saying ‘there’s a bowl of candy on the table but nobody touch it.”

My 14 year old daughter file shres all the time as do I. Neither one of us see anything wrong with it. She started file sharing about the same time I did. The only difference is the type of music we like. We both listen to some of the same music. P2P filesharing is the wave of the future that is here today. Down with the RIAA & MPAA.

Any parent who doesn't think file-sharing is wrong is as ignorant about copyright as most kids are.

Youre a troll and a repeat, come back, I will ban you again.

Whether or not the virtues of file sharing are debated 100% accurate is the right of this site to decide, not based on the dogged persistance of a troll.

I am certain I remember seeing a previous post from Respect Rights, who said almost the exact same thing as this time and who is clearly an RIAA scumbag. Good decision to ban him Krell. Any way to keep him from coming back again ? I am sure everyone here is sick of seeing these retards post here .

My parents don't quite understand the file-sharing concept of sharing, and they tend to think file-sharing is more wrong than right (although they tolerate my activities). I am a moral-heavy person myself, but I disagree with their reasoning, which is:

downloading = illegal = wrong

I am also a young adult, and I think it is steeling. I know we are all going to have our own thoughts about it. But come on this is coming from an own kid, I think it is wrong. But yet I still do it? WHy, well because everyone else does it. If I really & truely like the music I will buy it. I think of it as a big radio. But to download and not buy a CD since the year 2k, now I think that is wrong, those people should be put in jail.

I am not siding with the RIAA, I just know it's wrong. What happens when artists are gone when 95% of the world downloads? We need music in this world people. Think a world without music? Man that would suck.

It's one big Radio on the internet for me. I can hear the album before I buy it.

Just last night I downloaded the entire white stripes album, and boy I think it sucks. So I am not going to go blow my money on it. I like 1 song off the whole CD! I am not going to pay $13 for 1 song.

But for the new Beyonce CD I like the whole thing but 3 tracks, so I am not going to be cheap, I am going to buy it because I like it. I think it is 100% wrong to download, and never buy a CD again, like I said, those people should be thrown in jail.
