i was reading a post on dslreports about an alleged sharing of T3 rise of the machines. The person said that it was a renamed file, and they were prepared to take the RIAA and Warner bros to court. If everyone on the P2P networks spoofed 100 files, it would make it much harder to find people sharing correct files. Sure, it would make it harder to find the true files, but sharing would go up if people felt safe. They would always run the risk of accusing the wrong people and they would generate more negative publicity. They would lose support when thousands of wrongful accusations started biting them in the ass. Well, what do you think of this idea?

Sorry don't buy this one bit. Your idea is to make it harder to find non fakes for the benefit of thwarting the RIAA? Oh yeah that's what we need more fake files. Spoofing has never worked nor will it ever work.

Doesn't the RIAA already fill networks like FastTrack WITH fake files ? I could be wrong.
