I was downloading a file on bitornet and when the file was like 90% complete, it stopped downloading and all it says is uninterested. I am using Shareaza. Why is This. Thanks.

It could be that there are no more sources for the file (seeds).

In which case, someone is going to need to reseed the file. I doubt that will happen though, so the torrent is, in effect, dead.

Not really..it depends on where he gets it

If its a forum such as digital update he can just ask for a reseed or post it up on the comments section of a site..someone will reseed it

True, that slipped my mind.

Although if he didn't get it from a forum, I don't see how he can ask anyone for a reseed, meaning someone will have to do it, or it's useless.

Ya but...when reading through a lot of comments on releases on sites like bytesmonsoon people ask for a reseed and I see a lot of people saying ok I'll do it..etc.

It's a possibility but not 100% going to work

Yeah, I see what you're saying.

Well, heres hoping he gets a reseed. I've had the same damn thing happen to me on a few torrents. This is where BT is fundamentally flawed.

When I hover over the file on Shareaza, it does say something about digital-update.com. Does that mean that the tornet is from teh web site? I went to the sie and it issome web stie I didn't really understand what is was. I saw that it had a forum but that's about it.

I do not use Shareaza because I hate all in one clients as they never seem to work as seamlessly as regular clients. It is possible that there are no seeders for the file you are downloading. Also, Digial Update is a forum and you need to sign up to access it. If the torrent is being hosted on their tracker I would suggest you sign up for their forums and ask the saem question there.
