Someone Please Help Me!!!

Im trying to use edonkey, and i finally got it to connect, but i wanted to go to sharereactor.com and get a file. When I click on it, it says in the edonkey message thing that this is not a valid ed2k site. Why? How do i fix it?

link only worked on this particular day, as ip addresses frequently change, so does the host.

next time, think twice before posting ip addresses that are dynamic*

um, that site didnt work for me but i was using the regular edonkey. Can someone please give some advice?

You need to get the ed2k link fixer. It seems the newest version of edonkey does not accept web links.

click and it will download in edonkey for you.

Well yeah it's a hassle but after you get the link fixer you won't have to mess around anymore.

I downloaded that and even the other thing in that category. It still doesnt work. When i d/l the first one, a setup wizard popped up, but, i couldnt find where it installed the fixer to.

go to start, search files folders and look for recently installed files.

It should be placed in edonkey folder, if not place it there.

If it all just won't work you should get a copy of the prrevious edonkey. I believe there is a link for it at sharereactor's main page on left side near bottom.

I have noticed that not every single link will work. sometimes people make mistakes. So try a few random links.

sorry sharereactor does not have a link to older version of edonkey.

But I did find these links. I actually could not find them on the official edonkey site, but apparently they are their but not easily found.

That's a bug in eDonkey v61
It's fixed when you are using http://www.ed2ksearch.tk
to search files and find active servers with connected users sharing files that you wanna download.

It's probably just that particular link was messed up.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I'd suggest using OverNet with Sharereactor (and filenexus) as all the latest releases are well available on the OverNet network - without all the edonkey-related hassles.

If you haven't tried it, do it now. You will need to install the .NET framework but, if you know anything at all about computers, you know that's not an issue.
