I have a question to ask. My old computer may have an old account of Kazaa on it. It is not turned on and is in the attic. Will the files still on there be seen by the RIAA when they scan the network? Thanks.

No. Like you say its not turned on or connected to the internet and isnt connected to kazaa or any other p2p program so you have nothing to worry about.

Yes, the CIA is has satellites that send magnetic beams down from space that are able to read the data off of every hard drive in the country! Your data is not safe because big brother is watching from space reading your hard drive and your mind! Supremebeing is right, burn that hard drive, its the only way to keep them from prying in to it.

Nah. Your computer has to be on for the RIAA to see your data.
You have to be connected to the internet and you have to have youe file sharing on, and your shared folder enabled for browsing.

I'm sorry but I find this so funny. As I will say the same thing as others, nothing to worry about as it is turned off. LoL you made my day with this post...

This poster really only needed one good answer, and Sephiroth provided it. Everyone else who chimed in with something similar or just to call him a "n00b" really only made themselves look stupid. :)

When SKYNET becomes self aware, and infiltrates every other computer with predetermined aliases such as SETI and the UD Cancer Research Program all in unison with MS Clustering . . . your little box will be the only one left to save the day. Unless of course your in the blast zone.

congrats on 500 posts again...zero paid god :) Thanks, I must have missed this when it was posted. I don't know about stupid questions, but I've seen you come up with some good answers. If memory serves, it was you who solved a problem I was having with Ares a while back.

think ill edit this....just woke up, quite grumpy, suffice to say anyone who laughed at this guy as noob should try to get out more and learn to recognise when someone is taking the piss out of you for being a humourless p**ck

If you laughed at this poster for being a noob then this post was conceived with you in mind. personally.

I hope this offers a little clarity to those of you who have no form of human contact other than via that radiant and jealous flat tube in front of you.

just a thought.
