OK, so I'm downloading this movie using Bit Torrent through Shareaza. Apparently what Shareaza does is save the incomplete files to one directory until complete, and the complete files are moved into a different directory once completed.
It took me 5 days to download this movie, as it was more than 2 gigs, so I'd really like to get this problem solved instead of re-downloading the file.
HERE'S THE PROBLEM:
Naturally, I left my computer on day and night so the download could finish-- I logged on one morning to happily discover it was completed. I simultaneously discovered that I had managed to crash Shareaza in the middle of moving the completed file to it's "Complete" directory. So now I have one third of the .cue and .bin files I need to see the whole movie, and the completed file only exists as one of those crazy unreadable files that all P2Ps use until a file is done, except it's two gigabytes. If this helps, it's listed as a "TS-CENTROPY FILE".
I already tried re-opening the Torrent from the website but apparently the tracker is down or something stupid.
Is there any way for me to take that completed file and convert it into all the individual (.cue and .bin) files it comprises?
Thanks much!

unfortunately, i don't think it will work...
the only solution i can come up with is keep trying to reopen the torrent :-\

yeah.. my first reaction was to just re-open the Torrent from the website, but the damned tracker is down or something.
If you must know I was downloading this file:
Don't post files you downloaded/Are downloading.
and if you want to know the Torrent source, I got it from.suprnova.org (http://www.suprnova.org) in the movie section. Maybe my torrent client is messed up or something.. if someone could maybe try that link out and see if it works that'd be awesome..
and it's really annoying because I've only been able to watch the middle of the movie!!!
I didn't mention this before also, but there are TWO files in the incomplete folder. There's also a 987 KB .sd file of the same name (I don't know what kind of file that is). Maybe there's some program that could open up the SD file and finish moving and converting the raw file??
I think the main reason I use Shareaza instead of the basic client is because it just gives you more information about the download. How many sources, how much from who, and a pretty little download graph monitor window=)
any other help would be great.

For one thing Non Entity, you better remove the title of the copyrighted file from your post since its against forum policy.

and like i'm not already in a bad mood because I managed to get sunburnt - Suprnova is down. Seems to be connected to Sharelive being down.
Mind you, I remember me thinking it was the end of BitTorrent when all the sites went donw after releasing MR. This time it is probably T3. They will be back (said to myself as much as anyone else).

Suprnova was down most of yesterday but it came back up last night and I got 2 downloads through. It seems to be the nature of the torrent sites to play peek-a-boo once in a while.

hey--
real sorry about that slip-up with the file name. If suprnova is back up maybe I can get the torrent finally working.. but if not, if it just starts re-downloading, what am I gonna do then?

it's not that the site itself is down, it's that the actual link the torrent is down. which, of course, is crap.

I believe your gonna have to re download the movie. Hopefully it is popular enough that it will be receeded.
sorry, I've gone through the same thing, thankfully, with just an album, wich is smaller, mostly.

If you believe you've completely downloaded those files, did you triy changing the SD extension to BIN, then use WinISO or other image converter tools to create ISOs so you can burn them without those CUE files?
WARNING: Better backup your original SD files first!

so did u find another torrent with the same file size, and hopefully hash? cuz if u said shareaza unzipped the complete then u should have folder>files.. just restart the torrent with a real bittorrent client and point it to the directory of the folder (not in it) and bt will check the file then download watever is missing or corrupted..

alright, here's where I'm at.
If you believe you've completely downloaded those files, did you triy changing the SD extension to BIN, then use WinISO or other image converter tools to create ISOs so you can burn them without those CUE files?
the SD file is tiny.. only 900 kb or so. I don't think I exactly follow how I would go about doing what you suggest. For one, the huge 2 gig file has an extension that I can't figure out, and it's not just one giant image file, it contains six files. 3 .cue's and 3 .bin's
If I somehow took the SD file, changed it to a BIN, and used it to somehow change that STP-Centropy file into something readable, what will that be? A program can't very well take those 6 files and change them into one image can it? Assuming it can even encode whatever file format it was in!
so did u find another torrent with the same file size, and hopefully hash? cuz if u said shareaza unzipped the complete then u should have folder>files.. just restart the torrent with a real bittorrent client and point it to the directory of the folder (not in it) and bt will check the file then download watever is missing or corrupted..
I eventually gave up looking, because the torrents just wouldn't open, the site frequently gave me errors, and it was annoying. I wish I had known about SEARCHING for torrents on other sites when I was doing this a month ago, because I probably could have found the torrent I was looking for. I just did a quick check for the file on Suprnova, and it's disappeared from their listings. If you want to PM me I can give you the file name and maybe help me dig up a viable torrent that I could finally get this thing working.
Cheers.

Just Venting!!!!!!!!
It is a total frustration to see that when I look at my uploads I see 100 to 150 kB/s being given to probably ungrateful leeching SOBs and then proceed to look at my downloads and see a whopping 1.02 - 2.03 kB/s ( if I'm lucky ) per download...if it connects at all.
So in conclusion, I hate all you leeching, non sharing, bandwidth limiting, selfish, ungrateful, poor excuses for PC users, A-holes. Damn, I might venture to say the RIAA is less scum than the formentioned people.
It's good to vent....* breathes out*

i think shareaza is only good for downloading from G2. If you need to dl ed2k files, use emule if you need torrents you should use shadows.

They keep developing this software every year but they never changed the main problem for 56k users across the country. That’s why FastTrack Network (Kazaa Lite) got most users’ attention by giving them a good speed for downloading and uploading even though some partial download (.dat file) becomes corrupted. :cross
