Hi,

I have three problems with playing my music.

1. Everything currently is in now playing file? When i create a new playlist it will not play, it simply reverts to the now playing file.

2. Even when I push loop and shuffle, the music only plays starting at the begging. This is driving me close to insanity.

3. My music seems to go into two files on my desktop, how do I determine what file it should go to?

Thank you

i'm going out on a limb on this one, but it sounds like you're using windows media player.

This may not be the answer you were looking for, but i recommend another audio player and i'm sure that many others will do the same.

Winamp
http://classic.winamp.com

It's very easy to use, and playlists are easy to create and manage.

If that's not what you're looking for, i'll be researching your problems.

OH! if you're trying to play kazaa playlists that you make in kazaa...you're out of luck, because the only program they are compatible is kazaa :S

but winamp is definately a great player.

Thanks guys,

You are wonderful! I will download Winamp.
Now for more tech advice. (Yes, I am terrrible with all of this!!!)

Do I want the full winamp...................or will light work? Do I have to delete the other media player?

I don't watch any movies etc. but do download a fair amount of music and burn lots of discs.

Thanks again

quite frankly, i can't remember the difference between lite and full....go lite, and if something doesn't work, go full.

I'd recommend the 2.x series full version, not 3.x

I'm sorta just watching this thread....I'm a bit confused as to what his problem is.

i thought they (aol maybe? i forgot) got rid of winamp 3 altogether bc they felt it was too bloated, and blah blah blah.

anywho, yea, i don't really know what the problem is either. but winamp rules. whee!

I think they just stopped developing it, and went to working on the 2.x series again. Winamp 3 is still available for download.
