I just went to http://www.shareaza.com and was able to bring the website up. Let me refraze that. It came up the first time and I tried it again and nothing.

Yeah, its down for me, and several others I've talked to. I believe its because of a DOS attack, we were talking about this in the DC hub earlier and I can't remember what we decided.

If it was down for good, every P2P site on the net would have an article about it. Just give it a few days to get fixed.

i can't access a lot of sites... forums.macrumors.com , www.tshirthell.com just to name a few.

i can do it on my dad's apple ibook (and yet people wonder why i hate windows and microsoft).

it's making me consider reformatting and reinstalling, but that always has bad consequences, like a misburned cd or something. so...

But seriously folks, websites go down once in while so lets hold off on the conspriracy theories until we hear from something solid directly from the horse's mouth.

I remember reading something on the G2 forums about shareaza.com being DOS'ed by Gwebcache queries from MLDonkey clients.

Unfortunately, the G2 forums also went down a while ago, so I dont know for sure. :mellow

Shareaza has been down before. So has ZP. It happens. Especially on sites with a lot of hits.

I'm thinking some DNS servers have gone down or something, I"m having intermittent problems with some sites, but if I talk to people in other parts of the country, the site is still up.

So I think anybody that had a dns with secondary.com needs to contact ultradns to transfer their account, which could explain why so many sites seem down lately.

Have I gone off the deep end here or does this sound right?
