how long on average should it take to download a 750Mb film on Shareaza 1.9 using a broadband connection, is it possible in say 90mins?:fire

Not likely, in fact, other than on bittorent, you won't get movies that fast.
It will usually take me a few days to a few weeks with shareaza on the edonkey network.
BUT, there is no constant, it really depends on how spread out the movie is, how much demand there is for it, etc. If you need a movie that fast, rent it from blockbuster.
