e-mail notifications [Archive]

I have e-mail notification enabled. I have not been getting the notifications. I have tried everything I could think of to correct this. Nothing works. There have been several replies to my subscribed threads, but no e-mails. Is anybody else having this problem?

Yes I have been having that problem also, and it would appear to be related to the ongoing site upgrads.

I only use the email notification for PM's. That is working fine for me.

it's probably just another database problem...

I'm guessing it's due to BBS upgrades/glitches. Don't worry about it, it'll probably be fixed before too long.

I don't have have e-mail notification on. I have hotmail and my inbox gets full! LoL, but I know the site was having a few troubles like 4 days ago. So maybe they still are having troubles.

I wish my email notification would either just stop working, or work fully, I get intermittent emails, then sometimes in bursts. I've had this problem for a few weeks now. Its really getting anoying

Yeah, I've been having the same kind of problems. Even when I go to my user cp, it seems like all my subscribed threads were completely wiped out....undocumented. When the search function wasn't working, I almost died. There was almost no way of finding old threads.....

Hope they get this fixed soon.

Ahh, its the weekend again, and the old zero views thing is rearing its ugly head again. I can but surmise that the boss is once again working on the site. Although it does make it difficult for us mods to keep track of things.

yes

i have had problems with the zeropaid/facesoffilesharing sites in terms of email. i am receiving some of the notifications but when i tried to delete one of the images that i had posted to make space for another i am refused permission to do this. using the "[email protected]" bug link on both sites hasn`t helped either. help!!!

No filters are set. No url's are blocked. Everything is set correctly on the boards. I don't know what's wrong.

I just went to the board and changed my e-mail adress. Now it works fine. The problem must be with hotmail. I apologise for bothering everyone with this.

The system being down will give me a break from the hundreds I get every day. Yesterday was madness, I constantly had over 60 unread. The quicker I read them, the quicker they came in!

I've been getting them all...

The funny thing is I DON'T WANT THEM! I unchecked the email bit...still sent them..checked it again..still sent them...unchecked...still sent.

Might wanna try unchecking for at least a day then checking again..then try switching email addresses and then switching back.

If you want 'easy' basic email for BBS boards try www.cjb.net

Just sign up then head over to www.mail.cjb.net and sign in...

No java/active X or cookies...no goodies. Just text...lol

I love it it's easy as hell to log on from any system and it'll 'swallow' up gobs of emails from forums...I had over 1,000 backed up with it still taking more. "Delete All" is a great feature.. :)

Just think about that....if he had started posting at the same time I did...he'd have 8-9000 posts. 9000 POSTS!!!! Thats more than Ken and I combined!! thats more than krell and I combined.....thats....a LOT of posts.

At one point I may have peaked around 20 posts a day, then dropped to 15 or so, now to ten...I'm intrested to see how long you last posting at that speed.

Hotmail is the same thing.

When you click on inbox and then you see all the emails, you check the box right next to where it says "From" and then it will check all the email messages and you can click delete.

Well if my internet keeps cutting off, then not much longer!
As I keep saying, uni starts next week. I will still be reading everything that is posted, but my postcount will fall to about the rate of the rest of the regulars.

Sign up and you'll see what I mean...it's BASIC delete all or delete one...thats it. All text with the exception of the ad banner up top that you can block with mozilla and the index on the left.

Give it a try for forums as it's useless for much else since you can't attach shit or view html with it.

I get my newsletter on Monday, not Friday anymore.

Really doesn't matter though, i'm on this site a lot throughout the day, so i already know whats new. The good thing is that its acutally something in my email inbox.

Thanks to zp, i get about 50 emails from people replying to threads, which is good cause it makes me special.

They're having problems with the 'news mods' not members or mods/super mods.

Going by the personal mail i just got from phalk, it says he can no longer post as phalkon30, and he cant get a new user name as he cant get a reply e-mail. Also his account does show waiting for e-mail.

Bah... :( This place is falling apart... Well I'll try and create a new nick right now for him. PM me and I'll pass the nick/pw on to him via you. That is if I can get one working...

Unfortunatelly, racist comments are far more abundant in news stories than they are in forums. We try our best to keep them under control though.

Watch a story that mentions the middle east or something similar, and you will see at least one (before we clean them up anyway.)

I had an "access denied" earlier this week but I PM'd dubstylee about it and the next day I had news mod priveleges again... good luck getting the priveleges back! I think Jorge might have fixed it already ...
