I've just checked the rules and can't find any objections. No excessive spamming going on...

Rather than looking for scripting help, get yourself a copy of TikiWiki (http://tikiwiki.sourceforge.net/) and you get all the features you're looking for. Or look at Antclick (http://project.antville.org/) for a more out of the box package.

Good luck!

What software are you running to keep your site going? The template that you are using looks good.

To be honest with you though, I think that there are so many P2P websites floating around right now, I wouldn't count on the site becoming too popular ( such as ZP ). You would have to offer the general P2P public something new and exciting to get people's attention. Just about every P2P website around is the same :

-----------------------

News
Download Links
Forum
Links
Paypal donation

-----------------------

And when the news just gets copied from place to place, people just figure to stay in one spot.

Then again, we may need as many sites as possible to fight the RIAA at this point.

Yup that's true. I nearly started my own p2p website once but thought about it again and I didn't really have any new ideas. I just thought to myself 'What's the point?'

Not a diss to EscapE or anything, was just saying.

oh... i thought it was an announcement in the developer's section of the forum. but whatever. obviously it's not against the rules, or it'd be closed by now :-P

He's not making a p2p site 12345678910

He is just setting up a site where people can help fund p2p development so we can fight strongly against the RIAA

That's right! No news on this site (this is what zeropaid.com's site is for)

I am trying to make it a place where you can buy gear to help advertise the P2P software in public and other places.

And to get donations to help keep P2P alive in P2P programs which do not offer any ads or any spyware. The makers do not have a great souce of money from there hard work......

So you are creating a web site to earn money? It's hard to believe that your profits would go straight to random nut or Mike from Shareaza.

Do you think the people here are stupid?

You started a thread called Support P2P, then after Lucian states that funds may be in order, you make this thread.

We dont know you from Adam, and for all I know youre just an opportunist with 1/2 baked ideas.

Dont use our forums to solicate support or to launch your own efforts. We have stood by that in the past, and this looks like a great reason to continue to do so.

If P2P people want to support developers, they can send money to Mike or Random Nut without your help !

I suggest you chill out a coast for a while . . . get a better feel for things.
