Anyone out there interested in beta testing a Clean Blubster 2.50? If you are, go here (http://www.drdamn.com/contact.php) and send me a note.
Please don't bother with a Hotmail or Yahoo Mail address, I won't be able to send the file to you.

Nope. Piolet is based on the same code, but the two apps are distributed by different companies. Both Blubster and Piolet run on the MP2P network that I've heard RockItNet will be running on as well.

Well I know Bluster was still around. I just thought most people moved to Piolet. Do you think you will come out with a clean piolet to get rid of the pop-ups, and to get that banner out?
Well yeah I will try this Clean Blubster out, and if it's better then Piolet, hey I will use Blubster again. Mine as wekk as long as the two connect to each other anyways.

Dr Damn. I sent you a message and would love to test a clean Blubster. I had used it and lover it previously until earlier this year when I had it wiped from my computer after reformatting and then I couldn't find any links to download the program any longer. I had Piolet for some time but never liked it as much as Blubster and am suspicious both of the ad ware that comes with it and the fact I am being scanned every time I log on according to my firewall.

Dr Damn, how about a clean Earth Station 5? I think a lot more people would use it since it's more anonymous and works with firewalls better, but it's bloated and stuff. Anything you could do would help because I'm probably going to end up using it anyways.

You can remove the Spyware with an anti spware program and the program still functions ok.

It's done! Turns out the beta worked fine, so I'm now distributing the same file as the final version. Download from the Bitzi tickets (it's only on Shareaza so far, AFAIK) and start sharing:

I downloaded it from Shareaza. Wow, this is a great program. Downloads start right up and go very fast. I guess that that's because a lot of time and upload bandwidth goes to movies in most P2P programs. I love the fact that it's anonymous of course, and it has pretty good content for how small the user base is (around 250,000 users).
Very Napsteresque. I love the hotlist feature!

I download Blubster 2.50 from the ineternet. Ran Spybot and Adware. It took all the spyware and Adware out. The program still worked. COOL.

ill check it out later i wonder if it works better than piolet or if someone cleaned piolet.
Romanticguy50 honestly how many of those clients to you actually use, i used to download a shit load of clients just for the hell of but ended up deleting most of them and kept the ones i liked. If someone pulls up the thread of what clients have you used you can see all those clients i used, most of them were a waste of hdd space.
Kazaalite 2.1.1 K++ RC 20, Imeshlite 4.1 Build 133(Clean) (By Jamar),Ares, Piolet ,Winmx ,Xolox (With the adware taken Out), Aqualime, Filetopia, Emule Plus, Edonkey, Earthstation Five, Overnet, Gnapster, Shareaza, Groksterlite 1.6 (By Dr Damn), Sharewell, Blubster(with the spyware out) (DOES WORK)
In my opinion get rid of grokster lite same network as kazaa imeshlite has more features, get rid of piolet if you have blubster lite, get rid of winmx because of ques unless you like the network than use it because it has good content, xolox get rid of it use shareaza or gnucleus if you want to use gnutella, or use neither and just use aqualime because it also is a good client(for gnutella), sharewell havent used it but i would get rid of it lol, gnapster sounds like a gnutella client get rid of it(if i'm wrong and it is a openap program use winmx or audiognome). you don't need edonkey and overnet....edonkey is a hybrid between the two, and get rid of both if you have emule, earthstation five keep if you want, filetopia is a pretty good client i liked it better when it was centralized had a lot of good movies, ares is good client as you can tell from using it, also you don't need imesh and kazaalite imesh lite gives you access to kazaa users and if imesh connects to fasttrack then its just giving two ways to connect to the same users(two p2p networks).

What router are you using? It works fine with my 4-port Linksys router / switch.

Its a D-Link Air DWL-650 router. For other p2p like DC and Fileshare I needed use the routers external IP (there are three computers's networked in my house off one router) in the programs settings and then open port on router's hardware firewall for it.
Do I do the same for the new blubster and what and how many ports am I suppose to open? No matter what I did with the old blubster I could never get to work.
