somebody was saying somthing on a different thread about how they pay 60 dollers a month for the internet, so i understand , or dont understand why they say we are getting stuff "free" when we pay that much a month for internet, some of that money should go to music industry or something, or hell go after the isp, not us, make our isp give them some money, only thing about that i guess is that the internet bill would go up, but would save all this drama

lol i know what you're saying but see the internet wasnt made for music. The internet was just made to browse sites and of course download legal music that aren't Copyrighted. We dont listen tho ;) so we LOVE to download music! and always will.

I don't see (for me that is) any use in paying for broadband if I am not downloading. I can browse ( sure it gonna a bit slow) and check e-mail on 56k modem.
I guess another reason for broadband (in addition to p2p activity) is if you are into online gaming.

I agree, it is an atrocity. what i propose to invent is a piece of hardware like the "replicator" from star trek, and then make a P2P program which shares the recipes!! And then a sewing machine attached to the same program that makes shirts! I want my clothes and food free goddamit!
but on a serious note, I think the £30 a month I pay for my internet, TV and phone line sure is value, especially as I have downloaded on average 400 mp3s per month since I got broadband internet.

If I were to factor in how much music, etc I download instead of buying it, the cost of said content FAR FAR FAR FAR (had enough fars) outweighs the cost of my internet connection, my PC and many other things I own.

hmm, for a 3kB/s modem connection, at $14.95 a month... yea, i probly get a helluva lot more in one month to justify the cost.
especially when people are making good music.
when they aren't i just relax and browse the net looking at other forums and stuff i can buy. haha.
and i make evil plans too. bc i'm a mad scientist.
