WinMX and Zone Alarm

Everytime I try to run WinMX with Zone Alarm in the background my PC grinds to a halt and no results show up in the search window. I switch off Zone Alarm and WinMX works beautifully. I've tried the different settings in the setup menus for WinMX's TCP and UDP. This has made no difference at all. Grokster runs fine with a firewall so why shouldn't WinMX ??

WinMX 2.6 and 3.22 work fine through my ZoneAlarm.
It sounds like you know what your doing, so I have no suggestions.

shit. consider yourself lucky...winmx 3.22 just causes my computer to shut down whenever i search!

I get that too, like say I click search and this is say my 4th time searching for something, nothing comes up, and I just restart winmx and search again, and I'm not behind any firewall
