Wimx crashing in chats....all rooms

It seems to have started last night. Apparently winmx is being attacked now. Basically all the chat rooms except the Euro ones are being crashed. A simple boot and and u are booted out of the entire program. I was shocked this morning when I woke up and saw rooms that usually have 100 people having just 1. Makes ya wonder aboiut things, especially in light of recent situations in p2p. Anyone have any thoughts???

Probably just a twelve year old lamer with nothing better to do. I havn't been on winmx for a while but isn't this a known issue?

No known issue......this is new. Its not from someone in the rooms themselves. U literallky have the whole program closed out on u

This is a WIndows vulnerability they are using, not a weakness in WinMX.

google search about rtf exploits, that exactly what it is.

there is a solution that resolves it. I have it covered at my site http://vladd44.com .

nothing fancy, but it works, until a little more experimenting is done it is the best i can offer. It will eliminate the ability to use rtf text formatting for large fonts, symols etc but in reality they were just an annoyance anyway.
