Ok, this does deal with KazaaLite in a small part, but it's actually a Windows question. =o)

I tend to keep My Shared Folder set with Details View, Arrange In Groups, Arrange by type. But, when I have KL open, and click the nifty button for My Shared Folder, it seems anytime I do this, my folder properties get reset. Same goes if I go to the folder without KL.

This also happens with the My Music folder 4 out of 5 times that I open it... it's always being reset, and I've messed with the folder options and all, but it doesn't help. I was just wondering if this is just something that happens or if I can do something to fix it.. because it gets kind of annoying to change the settings everytime I open the folder. Anyone know?

Oh, I'm running Win XP home edition. =o)

Make sure this is checked (see picture)

Then go to the folder, make a shortcut to the desktop. Close the window, and open it from the shortcut. Set it how you want, then close it right after, don't go through any other folders in that window. The next time it opens it should remember that view. Or at least that works for me

Glad to see you back, haven't see you post in a while

Cool, thanks! It seems to be working so far.. I'll give it a day or so and see if it stays the same.

I've been lurking around here, just haven't posted much. Had a bad week, but it's getting better now. I've been seriously slacking with my online activities, I need to get back in the swing of things. First stop? Fixing this darn computer to work how I want it to. Hehe.

Seriously man...you need a GF more than I do. LOL.

jlee, hope your week turns out good. I had a period not too long ago where I dropped offline for a month or so, including ZP, and let my computer go to shit...it took a while to get back into the swing of things, but I love being back.

Basicly, everybody needs a break at one time or another. Take a break. When you come back, everything seems better and cooler for a while.

phalkon: thanks. =o) things are going much better actually. I'd been doing things online, just WAY less than usual.

So far, my folder settings have been holding up pretty well. I've set up my shortcuts how I want.. I HATE having a ton of icons on my desktop, so I try to keep those to a minimum. I have a whopping FOUR on there right now. LOL. I finally found a Winamp3 skin I like and that works for my settings. May not be as good as the earlier version (which I still use) but it gets the job done 97% of the time. Now all I have to do is burn some stuff off to CDs and make some room on the HD, move some things around, cleanup/defrag, and life will be good again! Well aside from the RIAA crap anyway.

I'm sure I'll be back on here asking questions to things I should already know the answers to though. =o)

Oh, and at least now I know I'm not the only single one around here... ;o)
