Morpheus is just a gnutella client now, so it's better to just go with Gnucleus, Nova, or Shareaza, or any other Gnutella client without spyware.

If you are new to p2p I recommend checking out these programs for their use of ease (you don't need to download them all, just one will do if you want):

1. KaZaA Lite- The popular KaZaA without spyware and adware and with cool features. You can get it at www.k-lite.tk

2. Shareaza- Popular client that connects to the same network as Morpheus (Gnutella), but is also able to connect to 3 other networks too, those are Gnutella 2, eDonkey, and BitTorrent. NO SPYWARE OR ADWARE. You can get it at www.shareaza.com

3. Ares- Nice growing client that is simple to use and connects to its own network. NO SPYWARE OR ADWARE. You can get it at www.softgap.com

You can post(not bash) about other programs good or bad without promoting others.

I DON' THINK SO!!!! Right now, the new morpheus is on a new network called G2 or Gnutella2!! it is a lot better than the earlier releases, and if it was on g1 or regular gnutella then there would be no fucking way that i would use it, because it would be a bunch of shit ware. And when u install morpheus 3.1, all you have to install thats Xtra is the morpheus shopping! which is like nothing. I encourage all of you to go out and try this new and improved morpheus!! it use to be on the kazaa network but now its on g2

um morpheus borrows code from other gnutella clients.
as much as everyone else gives there opinion on this issue the truth of the matter is that morpheus's name is famous due to being on the fastrack client. And at that time period it was not ridden with spyware. Those days are long gone.
So in the interests of free expression stay the heck away from morhpeus.
why not use an original client that doesnt contain spyware,malware, truant ware, and crapulence ware.
*cough* gnucleus, shareaza as well as aqualime.
but if you choose to use morpheus then so be it.

Giving your opinion is fine.. Just plain all out bashing over and over of the same programs/networks by the same people isnt going to be put up with anymore.

Telling people to just use program x when that isnt mentioned anyways in the thread is not. Because they can read the opinions on other programs and choose which one to use themself.

I tottally agree with triniti. I tried it then ran Spybot and Adaware.
I was shocked.(Not really) It was full of adware and spyware and other junk. Uck! Forgetit. There are other Gnucleus P2P out there that are much much better. Aqualime for one
