Do you like the Mac bar at the bottom of the screen that selects programs to run but you're using a PC? Then try Y'z Dock! It's sweeeeet! :fire (Currently in 0.8.3 BETA)

Author: M.Yamaguchi
Program Type: Freeware

Y'z Dock is a program launcher like the dock in MacOS X. This application is currently in beta, so please send all reports to the author. In order to add icons, drag and drop a file (.exe, shortcut, etc.) straight from Explorer to the dock area. In order to delete an icon, drag and drop the icon out of dock. Place the PNG images for your icons in the icons folder. Right-click on the icons in the dock, choose 'Property' and choose your icons images there. Right-click anywhere on your dock background and choose 'Setting' to change the settings that apply to the dock itself. The clock and the trash bin are not yet implemented, but they will be shortly.

I love it. Right now I have the .75 beta, so I'll have to try the new one. I love how, in recent versions, you've been able to use default system icons, though it's much cooler having customized ones.

Ok, I downloaded it, it is the coolest thing ever. I put like 20 programs on it, maybe that's overkill, we'll see. It's like the Mac version in every way pretty much. Beat Factory, where'd you get those icons? And I am trying to play StarCraft and it is just popping up really annoyingly when I move the mouse to the bottom of the screen. Anyone know how to make it not do that when I'm in fullscreen programs?

For fullscreen programs, it can be a little annoying, but only a little. Games though, I would imagine are very problematic. For that, you might have to quit Y'z dock until you're done playing, and then restart it. Easily solved with a desktop shorcut or a start menu entry.

EDIT: oh, and about the icons. You can great some great one's from foood's icons (don't have the URL right now), or by using other icon sets available for DL.

I searched one hour for high quality icons, i didn't find such cool ones as on the screenshot above.
Please give a URL, there is even a Kazaa Icon on the Screen! Did you take them from an Apple?

And how do I get rid of seperators? I see an option when you right click to ADD seperators, but not an option to get rid of them, I assume there will be that option in future releases.

there is a file called "itemlist.ini". There you can kick all the unused stuff out. I added the trash pin and removed it directly from the .ini, because the programme did not support that either.

Y'z dock is cool, but I wish there were more docklets for it, as it could potentially be a replacement for programs like WinBar (http://www.winbar.nl) and StatBar (http://www.statbar.nl).

There are a few good/cool ones out, most of which can be found at Y'z Docklets (http://www.yzdocklets.com/).
