We need to get together on the next vote. How about opening a section specifically for the purpose of developing a game plan on getting some of these SCHMUCKS out of the american offices.

Bush definitally needs to be taken out of office... but that begs the question, will the alternative (that is, if he actually loses the election) be any better than him ?

I think this is a great idea. ZP could have a database of what certain politicians' takes are on file-sharing issues. Then we could all make informed decisions about who to vote for.

i agree, bush must be removed. maybe we could hire someone to, uh... ya know, there's a gun, and then bang, and then the vp takes over?
yea, you know the guy.
i think any alternative will be better than bush. i think the question should be, democrat, or the first non-majority party (independents) president?

To be honest I have not been impressed with any of Democratic candidates so far. I want to know more about thier stance on foreign policy before I make up my mind.
As long as the next person starts concentrating on fixxing internal problems as oppose to playing John Wayne overseas I'll be happy.

I think there are probably enough other bush basher sites on the internet already.
I dont think ill vote on someone based on their stance on one issue either...

I think if this were kept strictly to P2P-related topics, that'd be neat. Otherwise I can see how it would turn into "Bush sucks" - "No he doesn't" in a matter of... hoursl

If I was an American I'd vote for Bush. He's one of the greatest leaders the American people have ever had. (Which isn't necessarily saying much.)
*EDIT* But then again, I'm from Canada and look at our leaders. Fuck me...

I actually like G.W.
And the ugliness that "SOME", notice I said some, Not all. have been portraying makes me NOT want a democrate ever.
Not one has any agenda, only that bush should be removed, or that bush is bad, or bush SUCKS.
Not one has any real agenda on where they want to take this country.
Thier NOT LIKING BUSH is not a reason to vote for them. I want someone who actually has a roadmap for this country.

I guess what I'm going for is a section that informs us who the bad guys are. What senators are voting for what, and who needs to go.
Who actually is receiving the RIAA's money in office?
And Chipperrox......How could you think that being informed about who is taking our rights away from us is a bad idea?
I mean....sometimes I go to vote without actually knowing anything about the candidates stances on our rights.
If we put together a "DO NOT VOTE FOR" and a "VOTE FOR" list....I would absolutely consider it before I voted.

Who would choose which people get placed in which category? Everyone needs to make their own decisions. A list of what the person's stance is on various issues or something like that would be better than "DO NOT VOTE FOR: [insert name here]". Let people decide for themselves.

Well...if a senator is voting "yeh" to take away our internet rights, then they would get a BIG "VOTE NO" from me.
I don't understand why this is so difficult for some people.

Thier just ignorant. Not stupid, but the literal sense of the word.
They have NO CLUE to what actual exists outside thier little world of constantly just wanting to get re-elected.
Im sure he thinks by siding with these big CORP he can get a little extra pocket change by means of a contribution.
It really is time we all unite. Get a plan to keep up when these jerks terms are up for election and pass the word on voting them off.
Maybe we can get a site where each of us will offer a different area of the site to pass on information on how we can become one to a common goal.
There are more of us than them, we just need to get organized and follow thru.
Maybe its a dream, but in my head I love the outcome.

So does anyone want to come up with an ENEMY list of politicians that have their pockets lined with cash from the RIAA?

I think we should have a singleness of purpose here. We are a P2P forum--so let's not get into foriegn policy and presidential politics here, or we'll never get anywhere. First, we should encourage ZP members to register to vote. Second, we should find out where each congressional representative stands on this issue, and make it clear to any that oppose us that we will oppose THEM. NE007 has a great idea--with some poking around I'm certain we can figure out who is the the RIAA's pocket.
I will pm a the mods and mention all this to them, and maybe we can create a sticky for this forum with links to sites like
http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/
http://capwiz.com/townhall/home/
http://capitoladvantage.com/h2/
and get some honest-to-goodness activism started up here.

If this ends up going ahead, I hope it works out. Really. I could see it being nice and informative, and I could also see it being a big fat mess.
Another thing, is this just for American politics? Not everyone at zeropaid is American, so not everyone is going to give a shit about it. Even if they are American, they still might not give a shit about it.

The way I look at it is, I vote for who I think has the best policies and ideals that they say they do. Forget this republican and democrat bullshit, its inherent that 99% of politicians will lie while in office so why try to stay with this one party or nothing stuff instead of trying to minimize the lies, don't know if possible but could happen. And G.W. aint such a bad president, maybe a little war happy but seems to be a good guy otherwise and might just lead us out of the slump we're in. Ain't saying hes getting my vote, just that hes done aight with what he has done so far.
