I understand that eDonkey supports overnet and emule doesn't.
Yet I find that emule is more popular by users.
For those who has used eDonkey, is it better than emule?

Most of us here find Emule better...
I have no idea why Edonkey is worse..but maybe it's because Emule is releasing new versions with new stuff and fixes all the time

the only reason i stopped using edonkey was it began crashing all the time. I had used it for more then 6 months without problems then it began being problematic.
Apparently it happened to others as well and many swtiched over to emule never to go back.
I been curious to try edonkey again, but my emule works so great I just can't bother.
Half the stuff on overnet is on the edonkey network that emule accesses anyway.
If anyone has anything good to say about overnet support and edonkey now. I'd also be curious to hear about it.

I'm of the same feeling. I used edonkey for a long time and loved it. But then it just started crashing on me. And when emule came out, I got really excited and switched and haven't looked back. It all depends on which works better on your computer. Some people say that emule crashes and only edonkey works. So it's really a matter of preference. Most though, will say they like emule better.
And don't worry about emule supporting overnet. It is being rumored that it soon shall have it. There has already been a very early alpha of it. Hopefully, it will be completed soon.
