Ok, here's the situation. I have access to the same phone line as the person I wanna mess with. He's on dial-up and I wanna kick him off. Are there any things I can do just with a phone, short of unplugging the line to kick him offline?

I'm bored and quite ill.

You could pick up the other phone (if you have 2 phones) and leave it unhung after a minute or less he will get kicked off...

If im thinking of the right thing, Im thinking of when I used to have dialup, and when we only had one line (whoa!) and my dad was on the net using AOL (HS!) Anyway, when you pick up the phone like you want to make a call while the person is on that line using the net, you will here interferance, its actually traffic with the server at the other end, what I did when I wasnt listening was dial the phone number ( here you have to dial the area code too because of the large city) and after you dial the whole number it kicks the person off and then dials the number you want and connects you. Have fun, and you didnt get it from me.

Yes, when you pick up the phone and you hear his data on the line, make a staticky sound in to the mouthpiece, as if you had Cingular phone service . . . krshshshshshrshshrhshrhshrhshsh

"Can you hear me now? SHIT
Can you hear me NOW? SHIT
CAN you hear me now? SHIT"

When you make such a sound for a sufficient time, the analog noise overwrites enough of the compressed tcp\ip data that no amount of rerequests will do, and the two connections will agree to terminate.

Sometimes just blowing in to the mouthpiece works, give it a try.

the easiest ways i have found to kick someone off the internet is to pick up the fone and hold it up to your mouth and then yell to your friend "are you on the internet?"... that works with my parents modem...

for my modem, you hafta blow into the mouthpiece for about 10 seconds.

Pick up the phone, and if posible, hold down a button for a number, hopefully you got a phone that keeps making the sound of the number, that works really really fast,

set their acess number to a 1-900 number ;-() have some fun, go crazy,

I prefer the easy method, just find him and beat him senseless with the damn phone
