Can anyone help me get faster Shareaza download speeds?
I have got a lovely fast connection, but am unable to get more than about 25 KB/s going at any one time, whether it be 2am or 8am.
I have stated that I am using the internet from home, and am on Cable modem/DSL...
Are there any eg. UK server addresses that I can connect to?
I have read the FAQ and have followed all the suggestions eg. state a slightly slower bandwidth than I really have, increase the maximum transfers, transfers per file, and the edonkey settings etc.
Does it make any difference with the file size I am downloading?
As far as I can tell, they are all quite popular files...

what kind of files are you trying to download?
are they from the donkey network, gnutella1/2 or Bit Torrent?
Generally for ed2k and I believe also for G2, it doesn't matter to what server you are connected to, since your connection will be direct(p2p) anyways.
If you are trying to get ed2k files, you wont begetting them anytime soon unless you leave your computer running for a couple of hourse and overnight.
Also, performance has been very poor on ed2k and torrent for me with razza, and generally find mldonkey best for ed2k and I'm using burst! for torrents.
I like shareazza, but a nice interface doesn't help me a lot, when what I really want are files FAST.
Hope they get raza to be as good as the legacy clients, then I will switch.

I'd be glad to see those kinds of speeds
Bittorent will make it go a ton faster, but if you're on the edonkey network, you'll have to wait in line and upload at a good rate
Your settings are most likely correct, you just have to sit back and get what you can

Yes, try BitTorrent if you are looking for speed.
*cough* and the site I mention in my sig to use it *cough* :wings

if you do only g2 and bittorrent in shareaza you go about as fast as a torrent alone with a wider selection, turn off both g1s and the donkey

shareaza slow! took me a month to d/l flt-vca & b never going over 3KB/s. Queue City. what's the point of having DSL?
one good thing, all the bits were verified and my .bin worked when it completed. Now the damn program (1.8.9.0) won't connect to any neighbors even if I leave it on all day. The settings haven't changed.
Kazaalite K++ still rulez the roost except for sometimes corrupted data on the .bin d/ls.
