Well, seems pretty good so far. Beta 1.18 seems stable, and some of the songs I set to download all but rocketed onto my machine. I was very impressed. Stil not as good as the donkey for top quality movie files, but I guess it's not a client problem so much as a community one.
Keep it up team XoloX!

....... and only to get better. You are right about the movies being a community issue. As more and more users join, file diversity and quality will only increase

It's not just movies, any file over about 300 megs is going to be hard to get reliably just because it takes so long to get propogated through the network, if ya want movies just use IRC, that way you get new movies off fast .EDU servers lol. I dl new cds from irc than do my part by sharing them on gnutella, too bad my upstream is capped at 128kbps but I still always share, too bad my connection wasnt faster or I would share movies as well.

This is the first time I've ever tried XoloX period, and I think it is a great prog!

I'd just like to let you all know that I'm currently sharing in excess of 30GB of top-quality DVD rips from the eDonkey network onto the Gnutella network, through Xolox of course.
24hrs a day, every day.
Good luck finding them, hope they spread.

Got version 1.18 beta 2 Build 50, is that the most current one?
Seems pretty stable, fast and good search results. Cant say it will replace gnucleus for me, but it seems to be a real good alternative to some of the more complicated, spyware infested gnutella clients out there. Very straightforward and simple for users new to gnutella.

Most current one as far as I'm aware. I did a side-by-side comparison with Gnucleus and the results were mixed. Both Xolox and Gnucleus held their own as far as search results, but in some instances one trounced the other. I should try and find the same file on both and try downloading it, see how that goes.

I dl bunch of stuff the first couple weeks the beta came out but its begining to wind down. Last week or so I've getting a lot of busy signals when try dl. Although I might not be waiting long enough, since I tend get bored from waiting and get the stuff I want from Kazalite, Gnucleus or Winmx. By the way, is there form or e-mail addy for the beta testing comments anywhere?
