I was watch TEch Tv other day and on the Screen savers they had a poll about a universal passport of sorts for all net users. My question is i think it's a bad idea is there anyone who would like this and why?

Its sounds like the net version of a national ID, which potential of misuse of power by governing bodies. I would give it thumbs down.

It sure wouldn't be a good thing, think that they profile people now, wait until this takes effect. If you have your ID cancelled you might not be able to shop, bank, travel, or communicate in the near future - worse yet they decide to use biometrics there is not a lot of ways around this system of ID esp something like a retina scan kinda hard to hack that one.
