I just made this this new torrent site, let me know what you think.

http://www.downloadparadise.tk

Oh and it's not the final product yet, and yes I know it's ugly but it's mainly about the content.

I like it, nice and simple,

One suggestion though, other sites to not arrange files alphabetically, i would suggest you do this, make it much easier to navigate.

Also, (havent really checked the games so im not sure) But have it sectioned off, PC,PS2 Etc.

Great site, keep up the good work.

I like it too, you targeted exactly what these kind of websites should: content.

One suggestion is arrange the different program links so people can pass up set of program links (such as ed2k) to look for what they want in another (such as bittorrent), instead of just mixing it up like you have (though it's not really that bad).

I only have PC games listed, not a single ps2 game. Actually I wanted to make a seperate link for Consoles. I'll work on:

-Putting files in order
-Seperate ed2k files from the torrent files
-Add more P2P programs (I got a few e-mails about that)
-Add more links
-Add more torrents on request
-Anwsering all the e-mail I'm getting now...hehe
-Maybe then the console link, after all we use a PC to view the site!

Yes I took links from different sites to make a sort of collection, it's helping the network if that's ok with you. I had over 500 visitors in a few hours already.

http://www.sharelive.com is now hosting Bittorrent files. The site already is home to emule, piolet, and G2 links. They also have have unlimited bandwidth now, I believe...so this one should be done every 2 mins like the others.

I dont see you getting much traffic anytime soon.

Especially when they start blocking crap like that with anti leech tactics like warez sites used to....

put up your own tracker and torrents and its a diffrent story.. Dont leech users from people who actually put some work into their site.

Most other torrent sites are very hard to navigate in. I fixed that, besides it isn't about the torrents only. And I wouldn't call it leeching either. So, I will continue to work on the site if you like it or not.

No problem. I'm working on the site layout now, and I deleted a lot of torrents (stupid whiners) and I started hosting a lot of torrents myself. It won't be a problem with unlimited bandwith.

Yeah you should host torrents yourself. Its only right. Instead of using other peoples resources. Also use your own tracker. listing in alphabetical order is a good idea, so is grouping ed2k and torrent likes. I would like to add that you should put in a small description of the file. If its a movie, say if its Divx, is it mepg avi, how many minutes/hours, and filezie.

And yes it was leeching, using their tracker and simply linking torrent files. Anyone could create an index of a collection torrent files they download from other sources. Got to have your own system. Best of luck to you.

i dont see a problem with this person mirroring those torrent links. sure he could make his own but at least he is got a website dedicated to p2p and its free.
had i not stumble upon this site i wouldnt get some links.
*cough*
so i guess he can make torrents if he wants to. but i dont care if he borrows them or mirrors them from other sites.
heh but at least do credit the original website that is linking the torrents.
*cough*

I host (almost) all the torrents myself now. Made a lot of fixes, took me 5 hours so don't say I don't put any work into this site hehe. And yes I link to the other torrent site, but I'm about to remove it as that certain site get's a billion pop ups when you open it.

nice website, but it'd be way cooler if u had some interactivity, i mean, making users able to search torrents, sort them by... name/size/whatever. could be done with PHP...

Andy_TRN

Sorry but I know nothing about PHP, but I do know someone who could help me out with that. Thanks for the idea anyway.

hmm, well its good there are still initiatives like this... the BT community really needs it right now with all the big websites being closed...

Yes I'm lucky to have unlimited bandwith available.

To zebi: I might add a Tv show section anytime soon.

I Can't get into your site, "Network Problem"

Andy_TRN
June 4th, 2003, 01:15 PM
Well then maybe is something wrong with your connection. My site never has been down so far. Only problems I had was with the .tk domain. Linking directly usually solves it. If you can't get in because of .tk, try this link: http://members.home.nl/gruteke/Website/home.html

Soulseek 148
Soulseek is a really nice program for mp3's. It uses the Fasttrack network.
Andy on you website you say soulseek uses thh fasttack network. It doesn't it use the soulseek network, it uses it own decentralized network.

Yikes!!! The RIAA watches heavily on this website (0-4 times per time visited), despite how great this website is. For people who don't have PeerGuardian download it now, and download the attachment below and place in your Peer Guadian folder. For those who do have Peer Guardian, download the attachment to update your list.

The list I have compiled is listed alphabetically and by IP respectively. I'm sure everyone here knows what Peer Guardian is, but for those who don't PM me. Many other great features of this list is that some of these IP's to block is from the Shareaza Security List, which was converted to Peer Guardian format - this, too, was integrated in the Peer Guardian list.

This is to enjoy the listed website on this forum thread, and to enjoy file sharing with less worries. : )

How nice of the RIAA, but frankly I don't care because I live in the Netherlands. And ... man o man ..first everyone complains about the bad html and that it looks like crap, now I change it and I get 1000 complaints yet again. I have a feeling the site will never be right, well bad luck then ;)
