There is a new public beta out today. I think it is 1.8.9.0. It is really nice. Mike changed the look of the home page. It runs a lot smoother for me and I connect to G2 Hubs faster. Check it out at shareaza.com Powerful File Sharing Gets Easier with Shareaza 1.8.9: Bringing P2P Together

Shareaza is a powerful file sharing program that connects you to 4 popular P2P systems: Gnutella2, eDonkey2000, BitTorrent and Gnutella1. Share with (almost) everybody! As many users have found out already, there’s nothing quite like swarm-downloading a file from 3 networks at once.

The recent multi-network Shareaza betas have proven very popular, however Shareaza users have demanded two things: make it easier to use, and improve performance. We’ve done both!

Shareaza 1.8.9 sports a new user interface that is easier to use than ever before, yet still has all the power features that expert users have come to expect from Shareaza. Simply connect, search and download. The new Home tab makes point-and-click file sharing a reality:

The latest beta also delivers huge performance improvements over the older 1.8 series, supporting more simultaneous downloads and uploads without draining resources.

Broad Change List:

* New streamlined user interface with basic & expert views
* Much improved download and upload system slashes CPU load
* Protected download list avoids lost downloads
* Fixed upload bandwidth manager to maximize upload throughput

Download Shareaza 1.8.9 now, the most powerful force in P2P:

will they include fasttrack support soon? cause the minute they do, ill defenitley check this out again, but i am on modem, and edonkey and bittorrent are just for large files, gnutella is basicly crap, and g2 just aint large enough, so i feel i find more on fasttrack than here. but its a great prog, though.

Now, this new version is nice.

Easier to use, resource usage has been cut down, and I can actually read whats going on in the Network window, when before it always went so damn fast.

Hi
1.9 is very welld one, stable under 98.
What I now need is the buddylist and the chatroom like xs-client has. (would be perfect to slilde aol buddies over to guid-system).
Nice babelfish on the forum.

One last thing (again :-.( )

If partials are available by keyword, then you have more downloaders. These are the ones, who can leeach the releaser, if he is online.
If he is online, and there are only a few users, they might pass the time-zone he is online and get in worst case no contact to the releaser. THEN you suck at 40 %.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think that makes sense. What would actually happen, is that you would do your keyword search, you'd find the releaser, who would have however many partial sources listed along with his hit. You'd connect to the releaser, who would be busy, but you'd get his alt loc list, and would then start downloading from the other sources.

>>>>>>>>>>

Thats the point ! The releaser will not be found if it is hot media.
So this is the holy point, why we need a keywordsearch on partials with queryhit back.
