I was reading through all the posts and decided to get PeerGuardian, I turned on emule and then peer guardian blocked 11 different connections from the RIAA, SPA and the Department of Justice. And to think I only just got peer guardian :mellow

Ok... most of you know that I am chilean, but i live in Mexico.....

Do you think i should use Peer Guardian anyway?
I ask this, because I don't live in the U.S.

it couldn't hurt.

i doubt severely that blocking these ip's will hurt your searches or anything. i can't believe that any of the riaa's blocked ip addy's would be contributing anything good (like shared music or movies... that aren't fake)

It doesn't matter where you live, Copyright is in the International Laws, so yeah, the FBI, CIA, NSA, DOD, DOJ, etc, can still get you by contacting your countries police.

For example, If I lived in Canada, The U.S. Authoritys would contact the RCMP in Canada to take care of me.
Mexicos Authoritys would handle it.

download peerguardian:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tim.leonard1/pg/PeerGuardian_1.97b.zip

for ip ranges go here:
http://methlab.tech.nu/

click on plain text version link up top
when you get the page loaded

open the file guarding.p2p in the peerguardian folder with *notepad*
copy all the ip's on the page (names too) and paste in the notepad for guarding.p2p when you open peerguardian next time it should display ip range count and profile count.
