They all have pros and cons... Each has some feature I like that another doesn't...
I'm using Mozilla Firebird 0.6 right now, and I have added themes and two extensions for my browser fulfillmentness. I just hope they add these neat features (open tab in new window icon, close all other tabs option) in later builds because I'd rather they were already an option than having to download an extension to have them.

Yup I got firebird along with opera and like em both. Firebird is cool with the tabbed windows.
BTW what's fulfillmentness? What extensions and themes you got?

Themes: Phusion (a tweaked version thanks to a kind soul at mozillazine.org), coffee, and Luna. I'm using the neat Phusion one... makes the tabs look like the one in Luna.
Extensions: Tabbrowser Extensions, trivial 0.0.5.5. I don't use every option they come with, just one of two from each, but they make a difference.

I'm on win. It blocks ad plus it has tabs on top so you can go back and forth on all the sites you're looking at.

newbies is your answer, i personally like internet explorer. Sometimes i don't mind threads like these they show how people oppinons have changed on certain topics. For example on the best program people are always using and trying different programs, my favorite programs tends to change every once in a while so its not that bad unless it's like the same topics on the same day or week all still active.

I've used well over 10 browsers in the last couple years or so. My three favorites that I always go back to are Mozilla Firebird, MyIE2, and Slim Browser.
All of them have pop-up blockers and support tabs among numerous other features. In conjunction with a well produced "hosts" file and WebWasher it doesn't get much better.

Go Crazy Browser!!!!
phalkon30
June 5th, 2003, 03:12 PM
MyIE2 (http://www.ruihehang.com/myie2/html_en/home.htm), its a shell replacement for Internet Explorer, so its compatible with just about any site, and the interface is laid out just like IE
What You Will Get?
Tabbed Browing Interface
Mouse Gestures
Super Drag&Drop
Privacy Protection
AD Hunter
Google Bar Support
External Utility Bar
Skinning
And more!
I swear its faster than IE, and you can have it open the last open pages when you load it up again, so if you find a really cool site, or 5 cool sites, and don't want to bookmark them but want to reboot, don't worry, they come back to where they were when you load it again (good for checking mail)

I use Interent Explorer its reliable and simple, all you need is a good hosts file and a pop-up/ad blocker and your set.

i love safari on osx. since the last browser thread i posted in, it got tabs, which are SO FRIGGIN AWESOME, and the pop-up blocker is still wonderful. and the look, and the bookmark bar, and the integrated google search that doesn't look gay like ie's google bar.

Mozilla and Slim Browser does it for me and of course Proxomitron to blocks every ad and popup.
Connection killed by Proxomitron!

Darn Firebird. Wanted to give it a try but it crashes on startup. Their quality feedback agent pops up - and that's how far I've gone with this browser. I'd like to try the damn thing, but for now it's been thrown into the recycle bin.

Damn, these browser polls haved accumlated greatly over the... weeks. Anyway, I'm using Mozilla 1.4 RC3. It works great, and it's the only browser I feel comfortable with nowadays. I keep the latest version of MyIE2 and Netscape 4.8 for back-up.

What do you people suggest for a Linux browser(for those who use it)?
I have Konqueror (3.1.2) and Mozilla (1.3.1 w/ Debian 1.3.1-2) installed as of now.
EDIT: Put version numbers.

To tell you the truth, i have never tried Mozilla but i heard it was good and i have never heard of Opera. Netscape is pretty good, but i will stick with internet explorer. Internet explorer is more comfortable for me and i guess i like it because i'm use to it. I have had minor problems with it, but they were easy problems to fix.

ie6 on an xp box with all updates.
why? because it's the most used browser in the world (whether or not by legal business methods) and just about every website, internet app is going to work with it.

If you can get it to run (most people can), Firebird kicks everything else in the balls. It's better than IE in every way. IE DOES NOT display pages the way they are meant to be displayed. Use Mozilla/Netscape/Opera to see standards-compatible pages.
