My PC has been on for about 8 hours with DC++ open in a Hip Hop hub, I just checked PeerGuardian, and it says it blocked 7 IP's. Is it actually safe to be on a file sharing network without PeerGuardian?

No, thats why we have PeerGuardian and firewalls.

Hehehe!! Thats right! Although, I've never been purged by "Retspan" usually by the RIAA, Overpeer, or MPAA. But lately they havent done anything, but I havent stopped anything, I guess they gave up on my network knowing that I'm triple firewalled. <<< yeah right, i only wish they would give up.

I just upgraded to the newer version of PeerGuardian, blocking 69221585 IP's and 188 IP ranges. I think it blocks a little too many though, I went to via-arena to get the latest VIA drivers, and their file server IP's were blocked by PeerGuardian so I couldn't download them. It's not much effort to close it for a few seconds though. I think it's good thing, I feel more secure :)
