When I try going to www.suprnova.com, I'm redirected to the Google search results for the word "empty." Quite odd, I'm assuming they've either been hacked or they have a sense of humor about their server going down. Suprnova.tk returns no page at all.

Maybe you guys should donate, I have. They need money for bandwidth, or they'll end up like all the other BItTorrent sites. They need to make it decentralized.

Seesh, it's like all the good Bittorrent sites are going down the drain... Does anyone know of any other good ones?

"We will be back soon."

Heh, it looks as though I won't be torrent-hunting today.

instead of having servers their could be a client just for torrents, or add in a feature to an exisitng client for searchyou just to search for torrents, or just to list all availble torrents files. I know you can get torrents off of IRC but that about the only program right now.

Odelay,

according to http://www.lickmytaint.com , the suprnova.org site and his tracker were completely deleted. Was it because of the slashdot effect? or for being the main tracker used in torrents... or the matrix guys didn't like the good image and sound quality of the rip being shared.... dunno...

Most of the BITTORENT SITES are down, i read an article this morning, sorry guys but dont remember where, that they were closed down because of the release of The Matrix reloaded and some companys made pressure to have them down. This is not a question of money, all the sites are down not only Suprnova but all the rest .

http://www.suprnova.org/
http://torrentse.cx/index.php?type=1
http://www.bittorrentsites.co.nr/
http://candystore.tk/

These are the most popular one. Come on, all of these had money problem at the same time??

Anyway, my opinion is that there is big future for Bittorent but now, it sucks big time. When it is not a question of trackers it is a bunch of fake files, all the stuff that are released on Bittorent have been released a long time ago on other sites.

Last but not the least, when you download a 3 cds file that is 2,4g you are never shure to finished the download. Lost of trackers etc. When you do it on others like Emule or The Donkey even though it is slower, you are shure to finish your download.

O.K for some that will want to flame me, I DO BELEIVE IN THE FUTURE OF BITTORENT but for now it sucks.

LUCIFER{OS} sorry for the spelling:mellow

If you read my post earlier you would have seen that i said that most of the Bittorent are down.

The only ones that are still up have nothing to offer i've tried a bunch of them and you get the tracker message ERROR.

Sousa, I did read your post and I do concur with you that most BT sites are down, because I've checked a lot of them out same as you.

The ones that are up and don't have much are probably just new sites getting started.

Just have to hope the popular BT sites get back up.

Odelay,

the great BT site, www.filesoup.com is also down :\ a few hours ago the site reported a maintenance message, but now it simply goes to:
http://www.fusednetwork.com/errors/404.html

Are they going to shut down everything related to BT?

Anyone knows where i can find the "dont mention titles here" that was on the suprnova's torrent file?

(off topic (sort of)) what's the best progs/sites to download via HTTP? My ISP limits my bandwidth if i don't use their proxy :P

I dont know if someone already mentioned it, but most Bittorrent Sites are not down (only olderURLs). New one i.e:
http://members.chello.nl/p.wiersema/list.html
Ever heard of Google??? (+bittorrent +sites +imlame) ;-)
And like last time Suprnova is still hosted at 10mbit.com - torrent d/ls work!!!

Sorry for posting links!

EDIT: I apologize: My first link is the same as sosuas - with the difference that mine leads you directly to their webspace. This might help, when the .tk link doesn't work.

Most Torrent sites are not down. Then again, most Torrent sites are not worth taking down. Yesterday, my three 3 favorite and probably largest and most piratic Torrent sites (SuprNova, Torrentse, and CandyStore) were down. Today, my 3 favorite Torrent sites remain down, including SuprNova on 10mbit.com. Torrents.co.uk is poop.

best information can be found here: IRC
wikked.irchat.tv
Channels: #SuprNova.Org #SuprNova-Zion

You also get good links there to sites that have almost the same content as SuprNova.

The page does not seem to be down because of too many users like someone in here guessed.

Trackers Are Central and Central is crap.
Earlier down than napster.
Forget about central buddylists.

Well, maybe they should make it possible to run trackers as a distributed, decentralized system, I've got a feeling we're going to see the BT clients come back with a few smart countermeasures soon. :;)

Candystore is only a mirror site for Suprnova, not a stand-alone BT site.

hmm that would be nice like interlinked trackers or nodes perhaps.
where people would be sort of tracker/client at same time.
what i mean is like people would send out packets to other users connected to them the parts they have available, similar to the concept of emule, donkey.
btw i am just assuming, as i dont know to much about the donkey these days.

most sites are down from what i know alot of them have been rejected/shutdown by service providers.

This seems like a very strong move by copyright holders & their backers. The MPAA appears to have muscles to flex once its big money, new releases begin torrenting around, landing in hard drives as free, high quality downloads.

I'm surprised, not by their motivation, but rather by the effectiveness of their methods.

BT was getting to much attention in the media and is very centralized as we can see. The big sites are down, leaving only smaller ones and even those might be gone SOON!

anyone know where I can find ed2k or magnet links for the matrxi DVD screener or what ever it was? :sw
