I get messages with threats on KaZaA Lite

Hello. Does anyone else get threatning messages in Kazaa? Just yesterday I turned it on, and was readin my e-mail. And some biatch started threatning me, she said I was always cancelling her downloads and stuff, and that she was gonna report me. WTF?!

Maybe people who have T1 or T3 lines can have unlimited uploads, but I have to limit mine to 10. Sometimes 5, for a short time. Most of the time it's on 10. And this biatch tells me Im cancelling her downloads.

So finally I blocked all my messages. How come the Kazaa Messenger stinks? Because there is no way to know who sent you a message after you closed it, there isnt like a buddy list, so that your fav share people and you can talk. And mostly just... I close my messages when I get rude ones, and I kinow I should have done something. Is there something that that little pooper scooper can do to me? She can report me? To who? And how can I block certain people? Like her.

So far when I use Kazaalite K++ Chat I have Not gotten any messages. SO FAR. I know that I don't want to. I would ignore them.. I haven't gotten any messages with any of the file sharing programs that I use.

someone stupid enough to send threatening messages about you cancelling downloads is not someone smart enough to be able to grab your ip and send it to the riaa.

i find that most 'cancelled' dl's on any network are just connection timeouts or something like that. you can't fault someone for that. just find a new source...

Well the next time you get a message like that and they say they are going to report you just write them back,

and tell them no you are wrong im going to report you I work for the RIAA and now have your IP address you should recieve a letter in the mail soon regarding your illegal downloading of copyright material and the actions we are going to take against you.

Just to be an ass for some shmuck that thinks they can report you for something they are doing wrong.

lol. yea... thats good too. i usually say thanks tho, to people i dl from.. i think it's kinda polite, considering i just wasted 30 minutes of one of their upload slots for a 4 minute mp3. lol...

Say I have a question. After Kazaa runs for a bit, I come back and look at the progress, in the lower half where there is the uploads statuses, is there some way to automaticly have the cancelled and completed queus dissapear? Why do I have listed about 60-120 cancelled queus every 2 hours??

I assume she that she got cut from my upload, but it's not my fault. I wasn't even home. I tried to PM her back to find out why she was going to knife me, but she was gone. Probably on the way to my house with a knife.

I'd personally try to find a software to track them down, find their ISP etc. and then send them a light letter bomb, that is, when they open the letter, a load of flour goes in their face.

And if it's so serious see if I can bring them down for harrasment.........

J/K of course...........no idea why they do this, just wasting their time.

One thing is for sure I've only had one person IM me on Kazaa just for a file request, and she was from France. I've used this IM service myself but no one replies, even when they accept incoming messages. I know it's file swapping and not chat, but when it's chat to do with file swapping you'd think they'd participate eh?

I was using Kazaa yesterday to get something I knew I could get fast there, and then this morron messages me and say "share or be cut off". Im thinking, I dont care Ive got 10 other sources. I tried to message them back to say, WTF do you think your using??? Winmx?? But they had messages disabled. Sad part is I was sharing 1300 plus files. IDIOT

Only positive message I ever got was on winmx (those chatty bastards). I person thanked me for staying on and letting them get a very "wanted" video. Said he would remember my nick and start me anytime. I almost felt warm iside and all. But then later I get the inevitable "start me or ill cut you off message" and I grow dark and bitter once more. Chat was one of the reasons I used to like winmx,I still like it but not for the annoying chat, now I wish I could boot every person who demands I start their download. Sometimes its cool though if you find some one who has similar files or stuff you need to complete a series and do a little(gasp) swapping. Sorry to go on and on about this in the Kazaa forum. Im a little Liqoured up mahaps. Dint realize I typed so much till I looked up. (yes I look at the keyboard while i type< I suck)

Well I never got any messages using WinMX. But I guess it would fell great that you let them have what they want, especially WinMX b/c of the queues, so that's why they appreciate it more I would think.

To tell you the truth, I have no idea. All I know is that I came home, and somebody from Kazaa wanted to knife me.
I know that if you have something that you ripped by yourself, and the only one who has it, it's very difficult to get uploaded on Kazaa.I'm glad I wasn't knifed. That might ruin my day.

Back when I used Kazaa more often, I would thank the uploader (usually if I took a bunch of files). I never personally had one of these problems, although I heard about others having them.

I replied with "what did I ever do to you to make you want to call me a fag".The download continued without interuption. A soft answer turneth away wrath, I guess! I think it is because they are un aware that kazaa normally starts on bootup. And they don't know it is running until you send them a messege, they see the popup from kazaa(Possibly freak out) and shut it off.

I don't understand why you don't simply ignore all messages. I checked the box "ignore all messages". Let RIAA or some losers message me, I don't even pay attention, the suckers don't even get through to me. Who writes messages anyway?
