Can anyone please give me some advice? I'm running Win XP on a new Dell and recently downloaded the newest version of Klite. I was running Klite ver 1.7.2 earlier and it ran fine. However, the newest version of lite keeps shutting down on me and so I decided to uninstall and when I went into the Add or remove programs, I noticed another old version of Kazaa Media Desktop 2.0 next to the newest version of Klite. I have tried repeatedly to uninstall this and keep getting the windows error message box. I'm a newbie and so I'm not sure how to copy the error box here to view but it says in top left corner: RUNDLL
with a red X circled and then: "Error loading C:\Windows\System32\cd_clint.dll" and then under that, it says:
"The specified module could not be found." In addition, the newest version of Klite also has some components that the Add or remove programs would not let me uninstall as well. I'm perplexed. Any advice will be greatly appreciated...tb

By the way, I have run both Spybot and Adaware and found nothing...

that file is removed from your system (cd_clint.dll because it was considered a spyware/adware)
check C:\program files\ and see if there's a kazaa folder (not kazaa lite) if there is, then you can install original kazaa, and uninstall, then run ad-aware/spybot... another way would require you to delete the folder and delete registry key.

Thanks mitsugi..., however, there is no Kazaa folder on C in program files. I do see Kazaa Media Desktop 2.0 in add/remove programs, its size 2.44MB. Any other suggestions? thanks again.

1. click Start
2. run
3. type regedit and ok
4. goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall <- that would be split due to forum
5. find kazaa and right click and delete

this would remove it from the add/remove in control panel, make sure you figure which one to delete if there is more then one kazaa.. you will able to see the uninstall string, it might tell you where the program is suppose to be at.

One of the most useful programs around is Registry Crawler. It's a registry search engine. It can search 130,000 keys in 20 seconds. You'd be surprised how much junk is left behind after an uninstall.
