Hi everyone,

I installed realpayer but i could not open it. Whenever i try to load/play the program i keep getting the following error messages. I thought may be it is due to antivirus and firewall programs that i had, and i deleted them and tried to install and play realplayer without any success. What is going on wrong? I even updated my internet explorer to version 6, it did not work, then switched back to IE5, and still did not work. I am stuck. Anyone has any idea how to solve this problem? Please help!!!!

following is an error message that i get everytime i try to load realplayer:

I wont even go in to why I loathe this crap software, but your problem doesnt require reinstalling your browser to fix it.

Real is trying to access a memory range that is unavailable, and puking out the core of your Windows.

There are a few things that can contribute to this (besides Real being a pos) that can be lack of physical memory, or another problem in your windows environment. If you can install Real to another place besides Program Files, you m i g h t be able to get around this, (not too hopeful) but if it is the web install that doesnt allow you control, then your probably stuck.

There is a plugin that you can get to listen to rm files without havig to install Real Player, but I dont know where it is, and I would not consider it.

My gut says that your Windows is also old, and you are or will be having other problems too, you may want to consider a fresh install soon, just think about it, or moving to a newer O/S if possible.

And on a final note, I would NEVER sacrifice my antivirus and firewall for Real, not in a jillion years.

I get this every once and a while with Real Player 8. For some odd reason, if I simply open real player first, and then load the file from real player itself, it doesn't give me this problem at all........or at least 99% of the time.

Real Player is indeed a peice of fucking crap, but the compression of the .rm format as well as quality is awesome.

Its really ironic.
